Abstract

Trzalica je predmet s kojim glazbenik trza žice po instrumentu. Zabranom izlova kornjača iz oceana, smanjuje se količina njihova oklopa koji je bio glavna sirovina za proizvodnju trzalica. Iz tog razloga, glazbena industrija okreće se proizvodnji gitarističkih trzalica od polimernih materijala. Polimerni materijali skloni su trošenju te je upravo taj problem obuhvaćen u ovome radu. U radu su opisane različite vrste trzalica prema instrumentima za koje se koriste te su detaljno opisane gitarističke trzalice te njihova primjena, kao i materijali od kojih se izrađuju; od biomaterijala preko polimernih materijala pa sve do metalnih materijala i stakla. Detaljno su opisani mehanizmi trošenja te konkretan mehanizam trošenja gitarističkih trzalica. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada izmjerena je tvrdoća 5 različitih uzoraka trzalica te su ti isti uzorci kasnije ispitani na otpornost ka trošenju. Dobiveni rezultati su međusobno uspoređeni te su na kraju navedeni pripadajući zaključci.

Abstract (english)

A pick is a tool used by a musician to twitch the strings on the instrument. By banning the hunting of turtles from the ocean, the amount of their shell, which was the main raw material for the production of picks, is reduced. Cosequently, the music industry is turning towards the production of guitar picks from polymer materials. Polymer materials are prone to wear and this problem is covered in this paper. The paper deals with different types of picks used with various instruments. Special attention is given to the guitar picks and their application, as well as to the materials picks are made: from biomaterials through polymeric materials all the way to the metal materials and glass. The wear mechanisms in general, and especially the wear mechanism of guitar picks are described in details. In the experimental part of work, the hardness of 5 different pick samples was measured in the lab. The same samples were also tested on wear resistance. The results obtained were compared to each other and at the end the corresponding conclusions were stated.
