Abstract

Ideja ovog diplomskog rada bila je ispitati utjecaj dubokog boriranja na povećanje efektivne dubine boridnog sloja. U radu je opisana znanstveno stručna disciplina koja se bavi oplemenjivanjem površina, a naziva se inženjerstvo površina. Dvije glavne grane inženjerstva površina su modificiranje i prevlačenje površina različitim postupcima koji su također detaljno opisani. Osim toga, ovim istraživanjem obuhvaćeno je i ispitivanje površinske tvrdoće, tvrdoće po poprečnom presjeku i snimljena mikrostruktura uzoraka. Naglasak je stavljen na analizu kvalitete i dubine dobivenog boridnog sloja.
Cilj ovog rada je karakterizirati uspješnost provedenog postupka dubokog boriranja te ispitati svojstva dobivenog boridnog sloja. Korištenjem teorijskog znanja i podatak dobivenih iz provedenih eksperimenata izvedeni su zaključci koji omogućuju ocjenjivanje novog, hibridnog postupka boriranja.

Abstract (english)

The idea of this thesis was to examine the impact of deep boriding on increasing the effective
depth of the boride layer. The paper describes a scientific-professional discipline that deals with
surface improvement, and is called surface engineering. The two main branches of surface
engineering are the modification and coating of surfaces by various procedures which are also
described in detail. In addition, this study included the examination of surface hardness, crosssectional hardness and recorded microstructure of samples. Emphasis is placed on the analysis
of the quality and depth of the obtained boride layer.
The aim of this paper is to characterize the success of the performed deep boriding procedure
and to examine the properties of the obtained boride layer. Using theoretical knowledge and
data obtained from the conducted experiments, conclusions were drawn that allow the
evaluation of a new, hybrid boring process.
