Abstract

Tema diplomskog rada je usporedna analiza područja od interesa (eng. ROI – Region of interest) korištenjem računalne radiografije na dvije komponente. Uspoređuju se dvije komponente (klipnjače) izrađene različitim proizvodnim postupcima iz različitih materijala, istih dimenzija kao jedinstvena komponenata jednog strojnog mehanizma (motora s unutarnjim izgaranjem). Jedna je klipnjača serijske proizvodnje (I-profil) proizvedena lijevanjem, dok je druga klipnjača (H-profil) posebne, trkaće izvedbe koja radi poboljšanja performansi motora, ima manju i bolje raspodijeljenu masu, drugačiji poprečni presjek i proizvedena je postupkom kovanja koji daje bolja svojstva materijala.
Glavni zadatak je usporedna analiza osnovnih konstrukcijskih oblika, dimenzija i masa komponenata, usporedba profila tijela i kritičnih presjeka, kao i procjena centara masa svake klipnjače pomoću nerazornih metoda ispitivanja i kontrole. Karakterizacija materijala svake komponente provedena je XRF analizatorom, a određene strukturne razlike u komponentama utvrđene su računalnom radiografijom CR i relevantnim programskim paketima.

Abstract (english)

The topic of the thesis is a comparative analysis of regions of interest (ROI) using computed radiography. Comparison is performed on two samples of connecting rods made by different production processes from different materials, but with the same dimensions as a unique component of a machine mechanism (an internal combustion engine). Both components are designed for the same type of internal combustion engine. One is serial production connecting rod (I-beam) produced by die-cast. Another one is a racing connecting rod (H-beam) that, in order to improve the engine performance, has lower and better-distributed mass, different cross-section, and is produced in a process (forging) that gives higher material properties.
The main task has been to compare the basic construction shapes, dimensions, and masses of components, to do the comparison of body profiles and critical cross-sections as well as to define the center of mass of each connecting rod using non-destructive testing and control methods. The characterization of the materials of each component was performed by an XRF analyzer and certain structural differences in the components were determined with the CR computer radiography and accompanying software.
