Abstract
Proizvodnja kompozitnih materijala, naročito prirodnih, je u sve većem porastu kao i njihova primjena u raznim granama industrije. U prvom dijelu završnog rada opisana je povijest nastanka kompozita te njihova svojstva i podjela s obzirom na vrstu matrica i ojačavala. Drugi dio završnog rada odnosi se isključivo na prirodne kompozite odnosno prirodne materijale ojačavala i matrica. Također, opisana je njihova proizvodnja, prednosti i nedostaci u usporedbi s konvecionalnim kompozitnim materijalima te njihova sve šira primjena.
Abstract (english)
The production of composite materials, especially natural ones, is growing up and they have been used in different industries. The first part of the paper describes the history of composites and their properties. Furthermore it is described their division due to the type of matrices and reinforcements. The second part of the paper refers exclusively to natural composites, that is natural materials of reinforcements and matrices. Also, their production, advantages and disadvantages in comparison with conventional composite materials and their increasing application are described.
