Abstract

U ovom radu prikazana je simulacija lijevanja odljevka od legure AlSi12 u pješčanom kalupu. U teorijskom dijelu opisana je tehnologija lijevanja, prvenstveno upotreba jednokratnih kalupa. Objašnjeno je skrućivanje i skupljanje metala tokom lijevanja, te su navedene vrste uljevnih sustava kao i njihova pravilna konstrukcija. Također je opisan proračun horizontalnog uljevnog sustava korišten u eksperimentalnom dijelu rada.
U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada izrađeno je nekoliko varijanti modela uljevnih sustava na temelju proračuna. Takvi modeli bili su podvrgnuti numeričkim simulacijama u programu QuickCAST. Na temelju rezultata simulacija postavljeno je pojilo i odabran je iskustveni uljevni sustav prema kojem je izrađen kalup od svježe kalupne mješavine u Laboratoriju za ljevarstvo. Izmjerom dimenzija uljevnog sustava izrađen je model na računalu te je putem simulacija uspoređena stvarna kvaliteta odljevka s dobivenim rezultatima simulacije. Radiografskim ispitivanjem utvrđeno je nastajanje poroznosti na istom mjestu koje je predvidjela i numerička simulacija.

Abstract (english)

This thesis presents casting simulation of AlSi12 alloy casting in sand mould.
The theoretical part explains the casting technology, primarily the application of expendable moulds. The solidification and shrinkage of molten metal during the casting process are also explained, as are the types of gating systems and their correct design. The process of designing horizontal gating system is described for the purpose of experimental part of the thesis.
In the experimental part of the thesis few versions of gating system models have been created. Models were subjected to numerical simulation using the program QuickCAST. Based on the results of simulations feeder was set on the casting and experiential gating system was chosen for making the green sand mould in the Foundry laboratory. By measuring the dimensions of the gating system 3D CAD model was made. Using simulation software the comparison of the real casting quality with obtained results of the simulation was done. Radiographic examination showed that the location of the porosity in the real casting is at the same location where the simulation has predicted.
