Abstract

Cilj ovog rada bio je utvrditi utjecaj usmjerenosti strukture na otpornost prema abrazijskom trošenju različitih vrsta drva. Analizirane vrste drva su: hrast, jasen i orah - domaće vrste koje se najčešće koriste za izradu parketa.
Rad se sastoji od teorijskog i eksperimentalnog dijela.
U teorijskom dijelu opisana je struktura drva od makro do molekularne razine te njegova osnovna fizikalna i mehanička svojstva.
U eksperimentalnom dijelu prikazani su rezultati ispitivanja svojstva abrazijske otpornosti ovisno o usmjerenosti strukture, odnosno otpornost abrazijskom trošenju u tri karakteristična presjeka – radijalnom, tangencijalnom i poprečnom. Pored otpornosti na abrazijsko trošenje određena je i gustoća svake od triju vrsta drva te je provedena analiza mikrostrukture.
Pokazalo se da orah ima najveću otpornost na abrazijsko trošenje, iako ima manju gustoću od hrasta. Poprečni presjek pokazao se najviše otpornim na abrazijsko trošenje kod svih triju vrsta drva. Intenzitet abrazijskog trošenja u radijalnom i tangencijalnom presjeku znatno ovisi o kutu između smjera trošenja i drvnih vlakanaca, a u poprečnom o kutu između smjera trošenja i linije goda.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this paper was to determine the influence of structure orientation on the abrasion resistance of various wood species. The analyzes types of wood are oak, ash, and nut.
The work consists of theoretical and experimental parts.
In the theoretical part, wood structure from macro to the molecular level and it is basic physics, as well as mechanical properties, are described.
In the experimental part, the results of tests obtained by examination of abrasion resistance depending on structure orientation, i.e. abrasion resistance in three characteristic sections – radial, tangent, and cross are showed. Except for the abrasion resistance, the density of all three wood species was determined and the analysis of microstructure was done.
It was shown that nut is most resistant to abrasive wearing, even though it has a lower density than oak. Among all three wood species, cross-section showed as best resistance to abrasion. The intensity of abrasion wearing in radial and tangent sections depends significantly on the angle between wearing direction and wood fibers, while cross-section depends on the angle between wearing direction and a line of a tree ring.
