Abstract

Tema ovog diplomskog rada je numerička analiza kompozitne konstrukcije dijela brdskog bicikla, koja će zamijeniti postojeću konstrukciju. Postojeća konstrukcija zbog svojeg oblika i vrste materijala izaziva osjećaj nesigurnosti u određenim situacijama u vožnji. U sklopu rada opisani su tipovi bicikala i razlike po kategorijama. Navedene su norme koje su propisane za ispitivanje okvira brdskih bicikala, te su proračunate sile koje djeluju na promatrani dio okvira. Uz to, opisani su postupci proizvodnje i razlike kompozitnih materijala. Također je opisan postupak proizvodnje okvira od kompozita ojačanih ugljičnim vlaknima. Nadalje, u radu je analizirana postojeća aluminijska konstrukcija te su navedena konstrukcijska ograničenja. U odnosu na postojeće stanje konstrukcije, navedena su određena poboljšanja te izrađen 3D model u programskom paketu Solidworks. Nad dobivenom CAD geometrijom proveden je numerički proračun čvrstoće u programskom paketu Abaqus. S obzirom na geometriju novog modela izvršena je analiza upotrebe različitih vrsta konačnih elemenata. Opisana je orijentacija vlakana po određenim slojevima i opterećenja na konstrukciju. Na kraju rada prikazani su rezultati za kriterije popuštanja, naprezanje i lateralni pomak, te je napravljena usporedba sa postojećom aluminijskom konstrukcijom.

Abstract (english)

The subject of this thesis is numerical analysis of composite bicycle frame part, which will replace the existing part. Because of its designed shape, the current part can cause the feeling of insecurity in certain situations during the ride. Within this thesis, bicycle types and categories are described. The standards prescribed for structural testing of a mountain bike frame have been specified and the forces that act upon the part are calculated. In addition, the production processes and differences between different composite materials are also described. Also described is the complete process of manufacturing carbon composite frames. Furthermore, the existing aluminum part was analyzed and design constraints were noted. In regards to the existing state of the part, certain improvements were advised, and a 3D model was created using Solidworks software. The created CAD geometry model was imported into Abaqus software and analyzed. Different types of finite elements were used and compared in the analysis. Furthermore, the orientation of the fibers for the layers in the model are described together with loads that act upon it. At the end of the thesis, results are presented for failure criteria, strain and lateral displacement, together with a comparison between existing aluminum and new composite part.
