Abstract

U radu su opisane metalne pjene koje su relativno novi materijal. Njihova je glavna odlika
porozna struktura te svojstva koja proizlaze iz te strukture. Svojstva metalnih pjena su raznolika
i ponajviše ovise o načinu proizvodnje i polaznom materijalu zbog čega struktura metalnih
pjena može biti više ili manje porozna. Ćelije metalnih pjena mogu biti otvorene ili zatvorene,
različitog oblika i veličine. S obzirom da različiti načini proizvodnje značajno utječu na svojstva
metalnih pjena, nužno je provoditi različita ispitivanja. Ispitivanja mogu biti razorna te
nerazorna. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada, uzorci upjenjeni pomoću različitih sredstava za
upjenjavanje te njihovim različitim masenim udjelima, skenirani su pomoću računalom
podržane rendgenske tomografije (CT) kako bi se dobili trodimenzionalni modeli za dobivanje
uvida u njihovu morfologiju. Naknadno su provedena tlačna ispitivanja u svrhu analize
mehaničkih svojstava za različite kemijske sastave i isti način proizvodnje metalnih pjena.

Abstract (english)

This thesis describes metal foams, which are a relatively new material. Their main characteristic is a porous structure and properties related to that structure. They can exhibit various properties depending on the manufacturing method and the metal base used, which determines the level of porosity. Metal foam cells can be either closed or open and can have different shapes and sizes. Due to the significant influence of manufacturing methods on the properties of metal foams, it is necessary to conduct different experiments. These experiments can be destructive or nondestructive. The experimental part of this thesis focuses on samples foamed with different foaming agents and their different quantities. The foamed samples were scanned using computed tomography to obtain their 3D models for morphological analysis. Additionally, the samples were subjected to tensile testing to establish a correlation between mechanical and chemical properties for the same manufacturing method.
