Abstract

Brodovi za prijevoz ukapljenog prirodnog plina (LNG) igraju ključnu ulogu u globalnoj trgovini energijom, olakšavajući transport LNG-a od proizvodnih mjesta do potrošačkih tržišta diljem svijeta. Ova specijalizirana plovila projektirana su za siguran transport LNG-a, koji je prirodni plin ohlađen do tekućeg stanja za učinkovito skladištenje i otpremu. Uz sve veću potražnju za čišćim izvorima energije, LNG nosači postali su nezamjenjivi u zadovoljavanju rastućih svjetskih energetskih potreba uz minimiziranje utjecaja na okoliš. Skladišta tereta služe kao namjenski prostori unutar broda gdje se teret skladišti i osigurava za prijevoz. Ta su skladišta podložna raznim silama i uvjetima tijekom putovanja, uključujući gibanja izazvana valovima, pomicanje tereta i vanjska opterećenja. Analiza teretnih skladišta uključuje procjenu čvrstoće konstrukcije, stabilnosti i kapaciteta nosivosti ovih prostora kako bi se osiguralo da mogu izdržati dinamičke sile koje se javljaju na moru. Prema pravilu norveškog klasifikacijskog društva DNV, izrađena je gruba mreža konačnih elemenata na osnovi dostupne dokumentacije za model tri tanka te su implementirane komponente opterećenja i provedena je analiza podobnosti za uzdužne i poprečne elemente koristeći programski paket SESAM od DNV-a.

Abstract (english)

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers play a key role in global energy trade, facilitating the transportation of LNG from production sites to consumer markets around the world. These specialized vessels are designed to safely transport LNG, which is natural gas cooled to a liquid state for efficient storage and shipping. With the increasing demand for cleaner energy sources, LNG carriers have become indispensable in meeting the growing world energy needs while minimizing the impact on the environment. Cargo holds serve as dedicated spaces inside the ship where cargo is stored and secured for transport. These warehouses are subject to a variety of forces and conditions during the voyage, including wave-induced motions, shifting cargo, and external loads. The analysis of cargo holds involves assessing the structural strength, stability, and load-bearing capacity of these spaces to ensure that they can withstand the dynamic forces that occur at sea. According to the rules of the Norwegian classification society DNV, a coarse finite element mesh was created based on the available documentation for the cargo hold model, load components were implemented, and a structural analysis was performed for longitudinal and transverse elements using the SESAM software package from DNV.
