Abstract

U radu su opisana svojstva i primjena visokolegiranih alatnih čelika za hladni rad proizvedenih metalurgijom praha te mogućnosti otvrdnjavanja površina nitriranjem i prevlačenjem iz parne faze. U eksperimentalnom dijelu provedena je toplinska obrada uzoraka od čelika Böhler K490 MC postupcima kaljenja, visokotemperaturnog popuštanja, dubokog hlađenja, nitriranja u solnoj kupci i u plazmi te plazmom potpomognutim kemijskim prevlačenjem iz parne faze (PACVD) prevlakom TiN/TiCN. Provedena su ispitivanja tvrdoće, analiza mikrostrukture na svjetlosnom mikroskopu i karakterizacija PACVD prevlake. Nitriranjem u solnoj kupci ili plazmi postignute su maksimalne tvrdoće površinskog sloja između 1100 HV 0,1 do 1300 HV 0,1. Efektivne dubine nitriranja svih uzorka nitriranih u plazmi iznose između 0,10 do 0,12 mm. Uzorci nitrirani u solnoj kupci TENIFER postigli su efektivne dubine nitriranja od 0,10 do 0,20 mm. Postignuta je PACVD prevlaka TiN/TiCN dobre adhezivnosti debljine 2,3 µm. Rezultati svih provedenih ispitivanja pokazuju dobru obradivost čelika K490 MC nitriranjem i prevlačenjem u području temperatura visokog popuštanja od 500 °C do 580 °C.

Abstract (english)

This paper describes properties and applications of high-alloyed powder metallurgy cold work tool steels as well as possibilities of surface hardening by nitriding and vapour deposition of hard coatings. In the experimental part, heat treatment of samples was conducted and it included quenching, high-temperature tempering, deep cooling, salt bath and plasma nitriding and plasma assisted chemical vapour deposition (PACVD) of TiN/TiCN coating. Results of heat treatment were tested by microhardness measurement and microstructure analysis by optical microscopy. Also, the characterisation of PACVD coating was conducted. Maximum surface hardness achieved by salt bath or plasma nitriding was between 1100 HV 0,1 and 1300 HV 0,1. Nitriding hardening depth of plasma nitrided samples was between 0,10 and 0,20 mm. Plasma assisted chemical vapour deposition (PACVD) was successfully conducted and 2,3 µm thick TiN/TiCN coating with good adhesivness was produced. Results of these experiments have shown that K490 MC steel is very suitable for nitriding and vapour deposition processes in the range of high-temperature tempering temperatures, i.e. between 500 °C to 580 °C.
