Abstract

Tlačne grane neizostavan su dio vatrogasnih vozila. Služe za usmjeravanje toka vode na izlazu
iz centrifugalne pumpe i nužno je da su vodonepropusne, kao i da ne zagađuju vodu koja kroz
njih prolazi. U nastavku je opisana problematika lijevane aluminijske tlačne grane djelomično
narušene funkcionalnosti, koja pri tlačnoj probi od 5 bara propušta vodu kroz stijenku.
Sakupljene su dostupne informacije o tehnologiji izrade i korištenom materijalu, te su
provedena ispitivanja da bi se stekao uvid u stanje materijala, kao i mogući uzroci narušene
funkcionalnosti. Iz analize su proizašle i preporuke (s naglaskom na materijal) koje bi mogle
dovesti do poboljšanja kvalitete odljevka

Abstract (english)

Pressurized water dividers are an indispensable part of fire trucks. They serve to direct the flow
of water from the outlet of the centrifugal pump and it is necessary that they are watertight, as
well as not contaminating water that passes through them. The problem of a cast aluminum
divider with partially impaired functionality is described below, which leaks water through the
wall at a pressure test of 5 bar. Available information on the manufacturing technology and the
material used was collected, and tests were performed to gain insight into the condition of the
material, as well as possible causes of impaired functionality. The analysis also resulted in
recommendations (with an emphasis on material) that could lead to an improvement in the
quality of the casting.
