Abstract

Formula Student međunarodno je inženjersko natjecanje u izradi trkaćeg bolida na kojem se natječu studenti iz cijelog svijeta. Svrha je potaknuti u studentima kritičko razmišljanje te ih motivirati da pronađu najbolja rješenja pri izradi trkaćih bolida. Naglasak se stavlja na inženjerska rješenja, ali i na performanse bolida. Da bi bolid imao što bolje performanse bitno je pronaći najlakša rješenja koja odgovaraju upotrebi. Jedno od tih rješenja je kompozitna nosiva sendvič konstrukcija bolida (monocoque). Svrha ovog rada je analizirati proces izrade prve kompozitne nosive sendvič konstrukcije bolida FSB Racing Team-a kroz analizu torzijske krutosti i položaja prihvatnih točaka ovjesa te kasnije iskoristiti te podatke da bi se vidio utjecaj na vrijeme potrebno za vožnju jednog kruga na karakterističnoj stazi natjecanja za ispitivanje izdržljivosti bolida. U radu su iznijete smjernice i ograničenja pri izradi šasije prema pravilniku Formula Student natjecanja. Također je detaljno opisan postupak mjerenja torzijske krutosti šasije te položaja prihvatnih točaka ovjesa upotrebom optičkih mjernih sustava (korištenjem fotogrametrije). Mjerni uređaji korišteni pri određivanju torzijske krutosti šasije te koordinata prihvatnih točaka su TRITOP Deformation, za mjerenje pomaka pri ispitivanju torzijske krutosti šasije, i ATOS Triple Scan, za digitalizaciju površina u neposrednoj blizini prihvatnih točaka ovjesa. U zaključku ovog rada mogu se pronaći savjeti za poboljšanje proizvodnog procesa kompozitne nosive konstrukcije koji bi smanjili odstupanja primijećena na završnom proizvodu.

Abstract (english)

Formula Student is an international engineering competition at which the students from all over the world present their cars. The purpose of this competition is to encourage a critical thinking in students and to motivate them to find the best solutions for their race car. Emphasis is placed on the engineering solutions as well as on the car's performances. For a car to have the best performances, it is required to find the lightest solutions for a given problem. One of these solutions is a composite supporting sandwich structure (monocoque). The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the first composite supporting sandwich structure build by FSB Racing Team for their car, through the chassis’' torsional rigidity and suspension hardpoints analysis. The data gathered will be used to show the differences in lap time for a Formula Student Germany endurance track. This thesis contains guidelines as well as the limitations given by the Formula Student Rulebook for the development of the Formula Student car's chassis. It is also shown a detailed measuring procedure, both for the torsional rigidity experimental setup and for suspension hardpoints measurements. For both measurements the optical measuring systems were used (photogrammetry method). Measuring devices which were used during the measuring procedure are TRITOP Deformation, for measuring the deflections during the torsional rigidity experimental setup, and ATOS Triple Scan, for digitalization of the suspension hardpoints surrounding surfaces. The conclusion contains advices for the manufacturing process of the composite chassis, which would minimize the deviations observed in the final product.
