Abstract

U teorijskom dijelu rada prikazana su svojstva titanija i njegovih legura te primjena u industriji. Opisan je postupak elektropoliranja uključujući potrebne parametre za različite materijale, primjena navedenog postupka te prednosti nad konvencionalnim metodama poliranja.
U eksperimentalnom dijelu provedeno je elektropoliranje uzoraka titanijeve legure Ti-6Al-4V. Uzorci su prethodno mehanički polirani te je izmjerena hrapavost površine. Promjenom parametara struje i vremena tretiranja samog uzorka pokušao se utvrditi utjecaj navedenih parametara na promjenu hrapavosti površine. Nakon postupka elektropoliranja, na uzorcima je provedeno mjerenje hrapavosti površine te kut kvašenja površine.

Abstract (english)

First part of this paper gives a review of mechanical properties of titanium and titanium alloys and an insight of applications of titanium in industry. Furthermore, description of electropolishing is given with belonging parameters, application of the treatment and advantages over conventional methods of polishing.
In the experimental part, electropolishing of titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V was carried out. Samples were previously mechanically polished and surface roughness was analyzed. Using different parameters od electric current and duration, we tried to establish the influence of different parameters on the change in surface roughness. After treatment, surface roughness and wetting angle were analyzed.
