Abstract

U ovom radu opisani su WC-Co tvrdi metali, njihova proizvodnja, povoljna mehanička svojstava i primjena u industriji. Budući da je njihova primjena u obliku reznih alata široko rasprostranjena, opisani su i najčešći oblici trošenja s naglaskom na adheziju i formiranje naljepka (engl. Built-up edge). U eksperimentalnom dijelu ispitivana je adhezijska otpornost tvrdih metala. Ispitivanja adhezijske otpornosti provedena su na tri uzorka: s 5% kobalta (WC-5Co), 10% kobalta (WC-10Co) i 15% kobalta (WC-15Co), metodom prizma po prstenu (engl. „block on ring“) uz pomoć računala sukladno normi ASTM G77. Mjeren je faktor trenja kod sva 3 uzorka i rezultati pokazuju kako se on raste s povećanjem udjela kobalta u tvrdom metalu. Kao protupar se koristio prsten od čelika za ležajeve oznake 100Cr6. Za potrebe ispitivanja provedena je karakterizacija ovog prstena mjerenjem tvrdoće.

Abstract (english)

In this paper WC-Co hard metals are described, their production, favorable mechanical properties and industrial applications. Because their use in the form of cutting tools is widespread, the most common wear patterns with emphasis on adhesion and the formation of a Built-up Edge have been described. In the experimental part, the adhesion resistance of hard metals was investigated. The adhesion tests were performed on three samples: with 5% cobalt (WC-5Co), 10% cobalt (WC-10Co) and 15% cobalt (WC-15Co), using a computer-based method Block on ring in accordance with ASTM G77. The friction factor of all 3 samples was measured and the results show that it increases with the increase of the cobalt content in the hard metal. In this test, a 100Cr6 steel ring was used. For the purpose of testing, the characterization of this ring was performed by measuring the hardness.
