Abstract

Pri zasnivanju i konstruiranju zrakoplova, u svrhu određivanja aerodinamičkih svojstava zrakoplova, na raspolaganju su eksperimentalne i računalne metode. Pri tome, točnost primijenjenih računalnih metoda uvelike ovisi o svojstvima numeričkog modela s velikim odrazom na potrebne računalne resurse. Kako u slučaju realnih trodimenzionalnih zrakoplovnih konfiguracija glavni utjecaj na aerodinamička svojstva zrakoplova imaju inducirani vrtlozi, primjena jednostavnijeg i manje zahtjevnog numeričkog modela može polučiti zadovoljavajuće rezultate.

Abstract (english)

In this thesis calculations of lift and drag aerodynamic coefficients of an airplane were performed. The calculations were performed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods on meshes of smaller size, and results compared with experiments and other referent results found in literature. For geometric modeling the Salome software package was used, for spatial discretization cfMesh program and for calculations OpenFOAM library. All calculations were performed using steady incompressible flow assumption, while for turbulence modeling the k-ωSST turbulence model was used. The comparison of results show that results of an adequate quality can be obtained using meshes of smaller size.
