Abstract

Kompozitni materijali danas su postali neizostavan dio suvremenog inženjerstva materijala, izrađeni su po mjeri da prate svojstva koja odgovaraju specifičnih radnim uvjetimate sve više dobivaju na značaju, razvoju i upotrebi naspram tradicionalnih konvencionalnih konstrukcijskih materijala. Uz malu masu, dobra mehanička svojstva, antikorozivnost, postojanost na visokim temperaturamajedna od prednosti kompozitnih materijala je i jednostavno održavanje i samim time dulji vijek trajanja. Kompozitni materijali primjenu pronalaze u brodogradnji,zrakoplovnoj i automobilskoj industriji te u novije vrijeme u sportovima kao što su „Formula 1“, biciklizam, streličarstvo i drugi. Ovim radom prikazana je upotreba kompozita u automobilskoj industriji, pregled kompozita ovisno o vrsti materijala matrice i ojačala,uvod u „CMC“(engl. Ceramic Matrix Composites), pregled mehaničkih, toplinskih i triboloških svojstava keramičkih kompozita u odnosu na ekvivalentne automobilske dijelove izrađene od metalnih ili keramičkih materijala te suvremene tehnologije za izradu keramičkih kompozita za automobilsku industriju.

Abstract (english)

Composite materials have become an inevitable part of modern materials engineering, they are built to meet the specific requirements of specific working conditions, and they increasingly gain on importance, developmentand usage compared to conventional construction materials. Along with low mass, good mechanical properties, anti-corrosion andhigh temperature stability,one of the benefits of composite materials is simple maintenance and therefore longer life span. Composite materials are found in naval architecture, aerospace and automotive industries, and in recent times in sports such as "Formula 1", cycling, archery and others. This thesis shows the use of composites in the automotive industry, an overview of the same depending on the type of matrix material and reinforcement, introduction to "CMC" (Ceramic Matrix Composites), a review of mechanical, thermal and tribological properties of ceramic composites in comparison to equivalent automotive parts made of metal or ceramic materials and modern technology for making ceramic composites for the automotive industry.
