Abstract

U radu je analizirana endoproteza umjetnog kuka. Prikazan je pregled biomaterijala korištenih u ortopediji te takoĎer i prevlake koje se koriste kako bi se poboljšala svojstva umjetnog kuka. Navedene su i najčešće metode prevlačenja u medicini. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada provedena je SEM analiza čašice umjetnog kuka izrađene iz CoCrMo legure sa TiN prevlakom te je određena debljina prevlake. Također je određen kemijski sastav legure kao i prevlake.

Legura CoCrMo često se upotrebljava u medicinske primjene no opasnost od ispuštanja štetnih metalnih iona u organizam naglasila je potrebu sa upotrebom prevlake. TiN prevlaka ističe se visokom kemijskom i toplinskom stabilnošću, otpornošću na trošenje, a zbog svoje biokompatibilnosti jedna je od najčešće korištenih prevlaka kod implantanata. Prevlaka i osnovni materijal su elektrokemijski ispitani na sobnoj temperaturi ±20oC i 36oC u elektrolitu 0,9%NaCl kako bi se postigli uvjeti slični onima u ljudskom organizmu.

Abstract (english)

The main theme of this research is analysis of components for hip endoprosthesis. The view of biomaterials used in medicine is given. The coatings provide improved tribological and mechanical behavior of implant. CoCrMo alloy is widely used hip implant biomaterial due to its high wear and corrosion resistance. However corrosion or any damage on implant can lead to the release of metal ions or particles. TiN coating has chemical and thermal stabillity and wear resistance.

On CoCrMo alloy and TiN coating electrochemical testings were being carried using potentio-dynamic method and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The aim of this research was also comparation of material properties on room temperature and on 36oC in 0,9%NaCl. This conditions were created to demonstrate real conditions in human body. TiN coating showed higher corrosion resistance compared to uncoated alloy.
