Abstract

U ovom završnom radu provedeno je ispitivanje vatrootpornosti kompozita s polimernom matricom i vlaknastim ojačalima od stakla i bazalta za primjenu u građevinskoj industriji.
U teorijskom dijelu rada napravljen je uvod u kompozite, njihova svojstva i primjenu. Detaljnije su opisana bazaltna vlakna s kojima se nismo susretali toliko često prilikom dosadašnjih učenja o kompozitima. Opisani su uvjeti koje materijal treba ispunjavati kako bi se klasificirao kao vatrootporni materijal te su navedene norme i zahtjevi koji se stavljaju pred vatrootporne polimerne kompozite ovisno o sektoru primjene.
U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada provedeno je ispitivanje vatrootpornosti na devet uzoraka kompozitnih pločica. Uzorci su naknadno obrađeni nanošenjem različitih premaza za poboljšanje otpornosti na vatru. Svaki uzorak izlagan je istom izvoru plamena i vremenu trajanja. Provedena je detaljna analiza oštećenja i strukture kompozita upotrebom svjetlosnog mikroskopa.

Abstract (english)

This final paper investigates the fire resistance of polymer composite materials with glass and basalt fiber reinforcements for use in the construction industry.
The theoretical part of the paper provides an introduction to composites, their properties, and applications. Basalt fibers, which haven't been encountered as frequently in previous studies on composites, are described in more detail. The conditions that a material must meet to be classified as fire-resistant are described, along with the standards and requirements placed on fire-resistant polymer composites depending on the sector of application.
In the experimental part of the paper, fire resistance testing was conducted on nine samples of composite tiles. The samples were subsequently treated with various coatings to improve fire resistance. Each sample was exposed to the same flame source for the same duration. A detailed analysis of damage and composite structure was performed using a light microscope.
