Abstract

Natjecateljski veslački čamac je ograničen prema FISA-inim pravilima. Za izbor materijala čamca je najvažnije pravilo broj 34. koje čamce ograničava na minimalnu dozvoljenu masu ovisno o disciplini. Materijali za natjecateljski veslački čamac, osim za nogare, lopticu i nosač za broj, moraju biti što krući, što čvršći i što manje gustoće. Trup čamca se izrađuje od aramidne sendvič-konstrukcije, tj. od aramidnih saća u sredini, koja doprinose debljini stijenke, a koja je omeđena aramidnim vlaknima koja preuzimaju naprezanja. Matrica je epoksidna smola. Na mjestima gdje je potrebno, trup je ojačan ugljičnim vlaknima impregniranim epoksidnom smolom, drvenim rebrima ojačanim ugljičnim vlaknima, te u slučaju izbočnika u obliku krila i izbočnikom. Postoji više vrsta izbočnika, a najčešći materijali za izradu izbočnika su aluminij i ugljična vlakna s epoksidnom smolom kao matricom. Na izbočnicima se nalazi polimerna ušica koja se okreće oko osovine od aluminija ili nehrđajućeg čelika te ona pridržava veslo i prenosi silu s vesla preko izbočnika na čamac. Pomično sjedalo, najčešće izrađeno od cedra ili kompozita s ugljičnim vlaknima stoji na aluminijskom postolju na koje su pričvršćeni polimerni kotačići s kugličnim ležajevima. Kotačići se kotrljaju po aluminijskim tračnicama. Osim pomičnog sjedala, uporište veslača u čamcu je i u nogarima. To su cipele od umjetne kože i platna, najčešće vijcima pričvršćene na aluminijski lim koji je dalje pričvršćen na nosače nogara. Nosači nogara se sastoje od aluminijskog profila i ploče od šperploče ojačane kompozitom s ugljičnim vlaknima. Nosači nogara se mogu pomicati po uzdužnoj osi čamca po polimernim zubnim letvama, koje su za čamac najčešće učvršćene preko drvenog nosača ili nosača od kompozita ojačanog ugljičnimvlaknima. Na pramcu se nalaze polimerni nosač za natjecateljski broj i elastomerna loptica. Pravac se održava pomoću peraje i, u nekim slučajevima, kormila. Peraja i kormilo najčešće su izrađeni od aluminija ili kompozita s epoksidnom matricom i ugljičnih vlakana kao ojačalom. Ograničenje čamca na minimalnu masu omogućava da razvoj čamaca obuhvati i ekološki aspekt razvoja proizvoda, te da se u budućnosti odabiru materijali s mogućnošću recikliranja.

Abstract (english)

Rowing racing boat is limited by FISA's rules. For the material selection, the most important rule is rule number 34 which limits the boat minimum weight depending on the rowing discipline. Materials used for rowing racing boats, except for shoes, ball and number holder, have to be stiff, strong and must have small density. The hull is mostly made of sandwich composite including aramid honeycomb in the middle, and aramid fibres on both sides of the sandwich. Matrix used for this composite is epoxy resin. Where needed, the hull is strengthened with carbon fibres and the ribs are made from woodreinforced with carbon fibres. Wing-riggers and rigger are also made of carbon fibres in epoxy matrix. There are many types of riggers and materials that are mostly used for making riggers are aluminium and carbon fibres in epoxy matrix. Plastic oarlock with stainless steel or aluminium pivot is placed on the end of the rigger. Oarlock holds the oar and transfersthe force from the oar to the hull trough the rigger. The moving saddle, in most cases made of cedar or carbon fibres in epoxy matrix is standing on an aluminium stand, on which plastic wheels with ball bearings are fixed with the bolt.Wheels are rolling on aluminium slides. Besides the saddle, the contact point between the rower and his boat are the shoes. In most cases they are made of synthetic leather and cloth and are fixed to an aluminium sheet, which is fixed to the shoe carriers. Shoe carriersare made of aluminium profile or plywood plate reinforced with carbon fibres. Shoe carriers position can be adjusted by moving on the plastic rack which is fixed to the hull by wooden or carbon fibrereinforced stands. A rubber ball and a plastic number holder are fixed on the bow of the boat. Direction is held by fin and in some cases by rudder. The fin and the rudder are in most cases made from aluminium or carbon fibre composites with epoxy matrix. Boat’s weight limit allows the development of the boat to accept also the ecological character and the use of recyclable materials in the future.
