Rast cijena goriva i sve strože regulative, koje se uvode s ciljem očuvanja okoliša, potaknuli su razvoj tehnologija s kojima bi se daljnje poboljšala energetska učinkovitost i ekološka prihvatljivost trgovačkih brodova. Na brodovima koji su pogonjeni motorima s unutarnjim izgaranjem, značajan dio energije sadržane u gorivu gubi se kroz toplinske gubitke. Iako se ORC (eng. More izvora topline, njihova primjena na brodovima je do sada bila ograničena. Tek u zadnjih desetak godina, zbog već spomenutih razloga, sve se više razmatra upotreba takvih sustava. U prvom dijelu ovog rada navest će se najnoviji zahtjevi regulatora za pomorski promet i opisati će se značajke već postojećih brodskih ORC sustava. U drugom dijelu rada, pomoću programskog paketa MATLAB, analiziran je model ORC sustava koji je primjenjiv na odabranom brodu, uzimajući u obzir pretpostavljeni operativni profil odabranog broda, odnosno količinu dostupne otpadne topline. U zadnjem dijelu rada napravljena je tehno-ekonomska analiza u kojoj su procijenjene uštede goriva i smanjenje emisija CO2, koje se ostvaruju implementacijom ORC sustava na odabranom brodu. Less

Abstract (english)

The rise in fuel prices and increasingly strict regulations, which are being introduced with the aim of preserving the environment, have encouraged the development of technologies that would further improve the energy efficiency and ecological acceptability of merchant ships. On ships powered by internal combustion engines, a significant part of the energy contained in the fuel is lost through heat losses. More past few decades with the aim of utilizing low-temperature heat sources, their application on ships has been limited until recently. Only in the last ten years, due to the already mentioned reasons, the use of such systems is being considered more. In the first part of this paper, the latest requirements of the maritime traffic regulators will be listed and the features of already existing shipboard ORC systems will be described. In the second part of the paper, the model of the ORC system applicable to the selected ship was analyzed, taking into account the assumed operational profile of the selected ship, i.e. the amount of available waste heat. In the last part of the paper, a techno-economic analysis was made in which the fuel savings and reduction of CO2 emissions realized by the application of the ORC on selected ship were estimated.
