Abstract

Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bio je utvrditi kako usmjerenost strukture i veličina abrazivnog zrna utječu na abrazijsku otpornost hrasta kitnjaka (Quercus petraea) u tri karakteristična presjeka – poprečnom, radijalnom i tangencijalnom. Ispitivanje abrazijske otpornosti provedeno je na uređaju Taber abrader na različitim kvalitetama brusnog papira od P80 do P800. Na karakterističnim presjecima izmjerena je i tvrdoća Brinellovom metodom.
Analizom dobivenih rezultata utvrđeno je da usmjerenost strukture i veličina abrazivnog zrna utječu na abrazijsku otpornost hrasta kitnjaka. Najveća abrazijska otpornost izmjerena je na poprečnom presjeku, dok je abrazijska otpornost radijalnog i tangencijalnog presjeka podjednaka. Na sva tri presjeka uočen je efekt „kritične veličine abrazivnog zrna“ i njezina vrijednost iznosi oko 125 μm. Najviša prosječna tvrdoća izmjerena je na poprečnom presjeku (16,19 HB), a niže vrijednosti prosječne tvrdoće izmjerene su na radijalnom (14,15 HB) i tangencijalnom presjeku (15,14 HB).

Abstract (english)

This thesis aimed to determine how the orientation of the structure and size of the abrasive grain affect the abrasion resistance of sessile oak (Quercus petraea) in three characteristic sections - cross, radial, and tangential. The abrasion resistance test was carried out using a Taber abrader device with different grades of abrasive papers from P80 to P800. The Brinell hardness was also measured in three characteristic sections.
Analysis of the results showed that the orientation of the structure and size of the abrasive grain affect the abrasion resistance of sessile oak. The highest abrasion resistance was measured in the cross section, while the abrasion resistance of the radial and tangential sections was equal. The "critical size of the abrasive grain" effect was observed in all three characteristic sections, with a value of approximately 125 μm. The highest average Brinell hardness was measured in the cross section (16.19 HB), with lower average hardness values measured in the radial (14.15 HB) and tangential sections (15.14 HB).
