Abstract

Strukturni kompoziti zajednički su naziv za slojevite kompozitne materijale i sendvič konstrukcije. Glavni konstituenti sendvič kompozita su čvrsti vanjski slojevi i mekana jezgra niske gustoće. U ovom radu prikazana je podjela strukturnih kompozita, mehanička svojstva konstituenata sendviča (pomoću jednostavnih izraza iz mehanike) te najčešći mehanizmi popuštanja sendvič konstrukcija. Zbog složene građe ovih materijala, eksperimentalna ispitivanja složenija su nego kod uobičajenih laminata, stoga je dan i pregled normi za ispitivanje mehaničkih svojstava sendviča, od kojih je posebno izdvojena norma ASTM C393/C393M Određivanje smičnih svojstava jezgre sendvič konstrukcije savojnim ispitivanjem (e. Standard Test Method for Core Shear Properties of Sandwich Constructions by Beam Flexure), prema kojoj je napravljena aplikacija, koja olakšava njeno korištenje.

Abstract (english)

Structural composites are a common name for laminates and sandwich panels. The main constituents of sandwich panels are strong facings and a low-density soft core. In this work, a classification of structural composites, mechanical properties of sandwich constituents (by using simple mechanical expressions), and most frequent failure modes of sandwich constructions are presented. Due to the complex structure of those materials, their experimental test methods are more complex than those done on ordinary laminates. Herewith an overview of standard test methods for testing mechanical properties of sandwiches is given, with a special emphasis on test method ASTM C393/C393 Standard Test Method for Core Shear Properties of Sandwich Constructions by Beam Flexure, based on which an app was created to make it easier to use.
