Abstract

U završnom radu istražen je utjecaj usmjerenosti strukture drva sibirskog ariša (Larix sibirica) na njegovu tvrdoću.
Teorijski dio rada opisuje strukturu drva te osnovna mehanička svojstva drva.
Eksperimentalni dio prikazuje rezultate ispitivanja dobivene mjerenjem tvrdoće po Brinellu u ovisnosti o usmjerenosti strukture. Tvrdoća je mjerena od poprečnog prema radijalnom presjeku te od poprečnog prema tangencijalnom presjeku u sekvencama od po 15°. Zbog očekivanog velikog rasipanja za svaki presjek napravljeno je po deset mjerenja. Rezultati su pokazali da usmjerenost strukture ima značajan utjecaj na tvrdoću drva. Najveća vrijednost tvrdoće dobivena je u poprečnom presjeku (51,91 HB), a najniže u tangencijalnom presjeku (32,43 HB) i radijalnom presjeku (32,19 HB). Iako je rasipanje rezultata relativno veliko, koeficijent varijacije je ispod dopuštene granice.

Abstract (english)

This study deals with the influence of structural orientation on the hardness of siberian larch (Larix sibirica) wood.
Theoretical part of the study describes the structure of wood and main mechanical properties of wood.
Experimental part shows us the results obtained by measuring Brinell hardness as a function of the orientation of the structure. Hardness is measured from transverse to radial cross-section and from transverse to tangetial cross-section in sequences of 15° each. Due to expected dissipation ten measurements were made for each angle. The results have showed that structural orientation has large influence on hardness of a wood. The highest value of hardness was obtained in the transverse cross-section (51.91 HB) and the lowest in the tangential cross-section (32.43 HB) and in radial cross-section (32.19 HB). Coefficient of variation for all tested angles is below upper limit even though the scatter of the results is large.
