Abstract

Tema ovog rada je hlađenje zgrade podatkovnog (data) centra u okolici Grada Zagreba. Projektom je obuhvaćeno hlađenje podatkovnih dvorana, telekomunikacijskih prostorija te UPS (Uninterruptible power supplies) prostorija prema Tier III zahtjevima važećeg standarda TIA-942-A. U prvom dijelu rada opisane su karakteristike data centra, oprema data centra, preporučeni uvjeti u prostorima data centra te načini hlađenja. Zatim je proračunato rashladno opterećenje hlađenih prostorija. Kao rješenje odabrane su CRAH (Computer room air-handling) jedinice kroz koje struji rashladna voda te hlade zrak u prostoriji s IT opremom. CRAH jedinice povezane su cjevovodom s izmjenjivačima topline u strojarnici, a izmjenjivači topline povezani su cjevovodom s rashladnicima kapljevine (chillerima) koji hlade etilen-glikol. U svrhu uštede energije, sustav hlađenja može raditi u načinu „besplatnog hlađenja“ (free cooling) kada to omogućuju niske vanjske temperature zraka. Proračunate su i odabrane osnovne komponente sustava: izmjenjivači topline, rashladnici kapljevine i ekspanzijske posude. Dimenzionirane su cijevi i proračunat je pad tlaka. Na kraju rada prikazan je troškovnik opreme i radova. U prilogu se nalazi shema spajanja i automatske regulacije te dispozicijski crtež strojarnice i ostale relevantne opreme, distribucijskih cjevovoda od strojarnice do potrošača.

Abstract (english)

This thesis covers the design of an air conditioning system for data center building near Zagreb, Croatia. Design of heating, ventilation and air conditioning of whole building is not part of this paper, this paper covers air conditioning of data rooms, telecom rooms and UPS (Uninterruptible power supplies) rooms according to Tier III requirements of standard TIA-942-A. In the first part there is a description of data center, data center equipment, recommended environmental conditions and types of cooling. Data center is cooled by CRAH (Computer room air-handling) units which use cooling coil with chilled water to cool air in the IT space. CRAH units are connected with heat exchangers in mechanical room, and heat exchangers are connected with chillers which cool the ethylene glycol. In purpose of energy savings, cooling sytem can work in free cooling mode, when there are low outside air temperatures. In the second part cooling load of rooms is calculated which is basis for choosing CRAH units, heat exchangers, chillers and expansion vessels. In the last part of paper is a equipment and installation cost estimate. Regulation scheme, pipeline drawings and disposition display of mechanical room are given.
