Abstract

U okviru ovog diplomskog rada prikazan je proces recikliranja papira u konceptu kružne
ekonomije, uključujući pravila, propise, postupke, uvjete i zakonsku regulativu koji se
primjenjuju u ovom slučaju, s fokusom na stanje industrije papira u Hrvatskoj. Predmet
istraživanja obuhvaća analizu gospodarenja otpadnim papirom, koristeći se primjerom
Hrvatske. Cilj rada je steći uvid u proces recikliranja otpadnog papira, pravila njegovog
odvojenog prikupljanja, zabranjene i neželjene materijale u otpadnom papiru, propise koji
određuju vrste i kvalitetu papira. Papirna industrija u Hrvatskoj ima bogatu povijest i nekoć je
svakako zauzimala važno mjesto, čak i na europskoj razini, što je i bio slučaj s riječkom
tvornicom Hartera. Međutim, danas je papirna industrija gotovo isključivo u rukama stranih
vlasnika.

Abstract (english)

This master’s thesis presents the process of paper recycling within the concept of circular
economy, including the rules, regulations, procedures, conditions and legislation that apply in
this case, with a focus on the state of the paper industry in Croatia. The subject of the research
includes the analysis of waste paper management, using the example of Croatia. The aim of the
thesis is to gain insight into the waste paper recycling process, rules for its separate collection,
prohibited and unwanted materials in waste paper, regulations that determine the types and the
quality of paper. The paper industry in Croatia has a rich history and once certainly occupied
an important role, even at the European level, as it was the case with Hartera factory situated in
Rijeka. However, today the paper industry is almost exclusively in the hands of foreign (private)
owners.
