Abstract

Regulacijski ventili su ključni elementi u procesnim postrojenjima. Služe za regulaciju tlaka i protoka, ali utječu i na druge varijable procesa. Tlak se u ventilu često smanjuje pomoću trimova, čija izvedba ovisi o intenzitetu smanjenja tlaka. U ovome je radu predložen postupak dimenzioniranja višestupanjskog cilindričnog rupičastog trima koji služi za redukciju tlaka prirodnog plina, korištenjem računalne mehanike fluida. Za provedbu numeričkih proračuna turbulentnog strujanja stlačivog fluida korišten je programski paket ANSYS/FLUENT ®. Predloženi postupak dimenzioniranja trima temelji se na provedbi numeričkih simulacija strujanja kroz parametarski model periodičkog uzorka trima, pri čemu se određuje potreban broj stupnjeva trima za traženo smanjenje tlaka, te promjeri provrta na pojedinim stupnjevima trima tako da se postigne zadani protok prirodnog plina bez zagušenja. Da bi se provjerile performanse ventila s ugrađenim višestupanjskim trimom, provedena je numerička simulacija strujanja prirodnog plina kroz ventil i nizvodnu cijev. Ventil mora obavljati svoju osnovnu funkciju tako da intenzitet buke bude ispod dozvoljenih vrijednosti. U radu je proveden analitički proračun buke prema normi IEC 60534-8-3 na temelju numerički određenih polja brzine u karakterističnim presjecima ventila.

Abstract (english)

Control valves are key elements in process plants. They serve to regulate pressure and flowrate, but also affect other process variables. The pressure in the valve is usually reduced using trims, whose design depends on the intensity of the pressure reduction. In this thesis, a new sizing procedure of multistage trim for natural gas pressure reduction is proposed and it is based on application of computational fluid dynamics. Numerical simulations of turbulent flow of compressible fluid are performed using ANSYS/FLUENT ® software package. The proposed procedure of trim sizing is based on conducting numerical simulations of flow through the parametric model of the periodic trim sample, determining the required number of trim stages for the required pressure reduction, and bore diameters at individual trim stages to achieve a given natural gas flowrate without choking. To check the performance of the valve with built-in multistage trim, a numerical simulation of natural gas flow through the valve and downstream pipe was performed. The valve must perform its basic function so that the noise intensity is below the permitted values. In this thesis analitical calculation of noise according to IEC 60534-8-3 standard based on numerically determined velocity fields in the characteristic cross sections of the valve was performed.
