Abstract

Izgrađen je matematički model produkcije \NOx i drugih polutanata prilikom izgaranja prirodnog plina u ložištu generatora pare. Na predmiješanu smjesu prirodnog plina i zraka primijenjen je homogeni model strujanja. Kinetički sistem izgaranja prirodnog plina uključuje dva glavna reaktivna lanca, direktnu oksidaciju metana i indirektnu preko rekombinacije metilnih radikala i oksidacije etana. Sistem produkcije dušičnih oksida obuhvaća neravnotežni Zeldovichev mehanizam te nastanak dušik (II) oksida preko dušik (I) oksida. Izgaranje metana u zraku predstavljeno je sistemom od 143 elementarne reakcije u kojem sudjeluje 31 kemijska vrsta. Predložen je postupak povezivanja računanja brzina produkcije kemijskih vrsta rješavanjem kinetičkog modela integracijom sistema običnih diferencijalnih jednadžbi s računanjem prijenosa topline i mase metodom kontrolnih volumena. Postupak pretpostavlja da se kontrolni volumen može predstaviti kemijskim reaktorom u kojem se na ulazu (tj. na početku) nalazi smjesa čije je stanje opisano izlaznim stanjem iz uzvodnih kontrolnih volumena. Iz promjena koncentracija i temperature tijekom zadržavanja u kontrolnom volumenu (kemijskom reaktoru) računaju se brzine produkcije i volumenski toplinski tok izgaranjem. Kinetički sistem, predstavljen sistemom običnih diferencijalnih jednadžbi, izrazito je krut, te je stoga rješavan Gearovom metodom, a promjene temperatura, koja se mijenja u zavisnosti od koncentracija kemijskih vrsta, računaju se implicitno iz specifičnih molarnih entalpija formacije smjese. Model prijenosa topline i mase rješavan je metodom kontrolnih volumena, gdje je rasprezanje tlaka i brzina načinjeno prema modifikaciji uobičajenih metoda, a za rješavanja matrice sistema primijenjen je linijski Gauss-Seidel postupak, ubrzan metodom višemrežne aditivne korekcije (multigrid). Turbulencija je modelirana pomoću Prandtlove duljine puta miješanja, a utjecaj turbulencije na izgaranje je zanemaren. Duljina puta miješanja propisuje se kao geometrijska značajka u ovisnosti o tipu strujanja. Prijenos topline zračenjem računat je zonalnom metodom, čije dvije varijante su ugrađene u model: Hottelova i Monte Carlo. Kinetički model testiran je na jednostavnom primjeru izgaranja smjese vodika i kisika za koji se mogu naći rezultati u literaturi. Sprega modela prijenosa topline i mase u ložištu i kinetičkog modela uspoređena je s rezultatima mjerenja dobivenim na eksperimentalnom ložištu u IJmuidenu.

Abstract (english)

The mathematical model of NOx and other pollutants production in the steam generator furnace fueled by natural gas was devised. The premixed flame is considered to be mainly kinetically controlled. The kinetic system of natural gas combustion includes two main reactive chains, direct methane oxidation and indirect, through recombination of methyl radicals and consequent ethane oxidation. Nitrogen oxides production comprises of nonequilibrium Zeldovich, nitrogen dioxide and nitrous oxide mechanisms. The combustion of methane in air is represented by 31 chemical species taking part in 143 elementary reactions. An algorithm of coupling the calculation of production rates by the integration of the system of ordinary differential equations with the calculation of the heat and mass transfer by the control volume method was advised. The algorithm assumes that the control volume can be represented by the chemical reactor whose initial conditions are set by the state of the upwind control volumes. The production rates and heat source are calculated from the change of chemical species mass fractions and the mixture temperature during the time the mixture spends in the control volume. Transport phenomena are solved by the control volume method. Modifications of usual methods for decoupling of pressure and velocity equations are applied, and line Gauss-Seidel method accelerated by additive correction multigrid is used as a solver. Prandtl mixing length method is applied to turbulence modeling in transport phenomena, while the influence of turbulence on combustion was neglected. Mixing length is proscribed as geometry flow type dependent. Radiative heat transfer is solved by zone method, either by Hottel or Monte Carlo, both variants being implemented in the model. Kinetic model was tested on combustion of hydrogen in oxygen, for which the results could be obtained in the literature. The coupling of the heat and mass transfer in the furnace with the combustion model was compared with the results obtained from the experimental furnace in IJmuiden.
