Abstract

U radu se daje kratak uvod u balističku zaštitu zrakoplova kao i osnovne podjele u području balistike te se opisuju metode kojima se rješavaju problemi u ovom području. U drugom poglavlju je opisan materijalni modela i validacija materijalnog modela u Abaqus/Explicit-u. Validacija približnog modela je provedena nizom simulacija udara balističkog projektila u ploče različitih zakrivljenosti pri različitim brzinama, nakon čega su rezultati uspoređeni s eksperimentalnim i numeričkim rezultatima. Nakon proširivanja materijalnog modela, odnosno uključivanja karakteristike plastičnog područja projektila ispitan je utjecaj debljine ploče kao i utjecaj njene zakrivljenosti na apsorpciju energije projektila tj. na njegovu izlaznu brzinu. Utjecaj kuta udara projektila ispitan je nizom simulacija za slučajeve različitih kutova udara projektila u ploču debljine 5 mm. Također, ispitani su slučajevi kada projektil svojom bočnom stranom udara u ploču. Rezultati su dani balističkim krivuljama kao i prikazima raspodjele naprezanja. Na kraju rada se nalaze mogućnosti unapređenja konstruktivnih karakteristika s ciljem poboljšanja balističke zaštite zrakoplova.

Abstract (english)

This work provides a brief introduction to the ballistic protection of aircraft structures as well as the basic division of ballistics and the description of methods employed to solve problems in this area. The second chapter describes the material models and validation of the material model in Abaqus/Explicit. Validation of the numerical model was performed by a series of simulations of ballistic impacts on plates with varying curvature at different impact velocities, after which the results were compared with experimental and numerical results. After the expansion of the material model by the inclusion of the projetile plasticity, the influence of the plate thickness, as well as the influence of its curvature on the energy absorption of the projectile, i.e. at its residual velocity, was studied. The influence of the incidence impact angle was investigated by a series of simulations for cases of different impact angles of incidence of the projectile on a 5 mm thick plate. Various cases were also investigated in which the projectile side-impacted the plate. The results are given in the form of ballistic curves as well as stress distributions. Structural design approaches with improved ballistic protection of the aircraft are presented in the final chapter.
