| Abstract | Cilj ovog rada bio je provesti analizu integracije solarnih fotonaponskih elektrana u energetski sustav otoka Unija u Kvarnerskom zaljevu kroz četiri scenarija. Scenariji su analizirani u programskom paketu EnergyPLAN. Analiza se odnosi na kućanstva na otoku koja su podijeljena na stalno naseljena i sezonska. Stalno naseljenih je 47 i u njima živi 88 stanovnika, a sezonskih je 245 te u ljetnoj sezoni na otoku boravi i do 800 turista. Prije analize scenarija, odrađeno je modeliranje potrošnje električne energije po kategorijama u kućanstvima, odabir kapaciteta fotonaponskih elektrana, baterija, dizalica topline i toplinskih spremnika. U svakom scenariju je kapacitet fotonaponskih elektrana 500 kWp.
Prvi scenarij je s fotonaponskim sustavima bez pametnih komponenti u kućanstvima, na postojeće stanje je dodan fotonaponski sustav. U drugom scenariju je dodan fotonaponski sustav s pametnim uređajima za grijanje, hlađenje i potrošnu toplu vodu. Ovaj scenarij analizira kompletnu elektrifikaciju kućanstava, za razliku od prvog scenarija u kojemu je postojeće stanje, odnosno dio kućanstava koristi električnu energiju za grijanje, hlađenje i potrošnu toplu vodu (PTV). Sva kućanstva imaju dizalice topline, pametne uređaje u kućanstvima, a stalno naseljena kućanstva imaju i dodatni toplinski spremnik koji pohranjuje višak proizvedene električne energije u obliku toplinske energije. Treći scenarij je kao prvi uz baterije koje pohranjuju višak električne energije. Četvrti scenarij je kao drugi uz baterije koje pohranjuju višak električne energije. Napravljena je i usporedba scenarija gdje se prikazalo koji je scenarij najbolji u odnosu na udio obnovljivih izvora energije u ukupnoj potrošnji električne energije. U rezultatima scenarija je prikazano koliko električne energije se pokrije fotonaponskim sustavom, koliko se uvozi i izvozi te koliki je udio vlastite potrošnje električne energije iz fotonaponskog sustava.. Za treći i četvrti scenarij nema izvoza električne energije jer se višak pohranjuje u baterijama. Na kraju je izračunato da su kapacitet fotonaponskog sustava od 1500 kWp i kapacitet baterija od 1,5 MWh potrebni kako bi sva kućanstva bila potpuno energetski neovisna.

| Abstract (english) | The aim of this graduate thesis was to analyze the integration of solar photovoltaic power plants into the energy system of the island Unije, located in the Kvarner Bay. For this purpose, four different scenario analysis were preformed in the EnergyPLAN program package. All the analyses refer to the households, on the island, that are divided into two different categories namely, permanently populated and seasonal households. The former category is comprised of 47 buildings with 88 inhabitants, while the latter category has 245 buildings, with up to 800 tourists in the summer months. Modeling of electricity consumption by categories in households, as well as sizing the capacity of photovoltaic plants, batteries, heat pumps and heat storage tanks was done before scenario analysis. Each scenario has a photovoltaic capacity of 500 kWp.
In the first scenario, just photovoltaic systems are added to the existing state. While, the second scenario includes also smart appliances for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water preparation. This scenario analyzes the impact of complete electrification of households. That is opposite to the first scenario, where the assumption is that traditional technologies are also used for these purposes. Important assumptions, made in the second scenario, are that all households have heat pumps and smart household appliances. Moreover, for permanently populated households, it is assumed that they also have an additional heat storage tank, used for storing excess electricity, in the form of heat energy. The third and fourth scenarios are similar to the first and second one, respectively. The only difference is that in these scenarios also batteries, that store excess electricity, were added. A scenarios were also compared to show which scenario is the best compared to the proportion of renewable energy sources in total electricity consumption. Scenario results show how much electricity is covered by the photovoltaic system, how much is imported and exported, and what proportion of its own electricity consumption is consumed from the photovoltaic system. For the third and fourth scenario there is no electricity export because the surplus is stored in the batteries. Finally, it was calculated that the capacity of a photovoltaic system of 1500 kWp and a battery capacity of 1,5 MWh would be needed of making the households fully independent of the national grid.
