Abstract

Četvrta i peta generacija toplinskih mreža predstavljaju centralizirane toplinske sustave (CTS) koji koriste nisko temperaturne režime te se zasnivaju na integraciji nisko temperaturnih toplinskih izvora. Nisko temperaturni toplinski izvori mogu biti obnovljivi izvori toplinske energije ili otpadna toplina koja potječe iz različitih urbanih izvora topline, poput sustava hlađenja u samoposlugama, trgovačkim centrima, podzemnoj željeznici, trafostanicama, podatkovnim centrima i sl. Važnu ulogu u integraciji otpadne topline iz navedenih izvora imaju sustavi integracije koji mogu biti različitih konfiguracija, ali se uglavnom baziraju na primjeni izmjenjivača topline, dizalica topline te zamjenske (eng. backup) jedinice.

U sklopu ovog završnog rada potrebno je izraditi tri modela sustava integracije nisko temperaturne otpadne topline u CTS-e nove generacije. Kako bi se ostvario navedeni cilj, kandidat će provesti sljedeće zadatke tijekom izrade završnog rada:

1. Napraviti pregled literature na temu integracije urbanih toplinskih izvora u CTS s naglaskom na različite konfiguracije sustava integracije otpadne topline;
2. Razviti tri modela integracije urbanih toplinskih izvora u nisko temperaturne CTS-e uzimajući u obzir različite temperaturne razine otpadne topline te temperaturne režime CTS-a;
3. Korištenjem metode Niveliranog troška toplinske energije (eng. Levelized cost of heat) potrebno je prikazati rezultate modela na određenoj studiji slučaja uzimajući u obzir različite tehnološke i ekonomske rubne uvjete.

Abstract (english)

The fourth and fifth generations of district heating networks represent centralized heating systems (CHS) that utilize low-temperature regimes and are based on the integration of low-temperature heat sources. Low-temperature heat sources can be renewable heat energy sources or waste heat originating from various urban heat sources, such as supermarket refrigeration systems and cooling systems in shopping centers, subways, transformer stations, data centers, etc. Systems of integration, which can have various configurations but are mainly based on the application of heat exchangers, heat pumps, and backup units, play an important role in the integration of waste heat from these sources.

Within the scope of this bachelor's thesis, it is necessary to develop three models of low-temperature waste heat integration systems into next-generation CHS. To achieve the stated goal, the candidate will perform the following tasks during the preparation of the bachelor's thesis:

1. Conduct a literature review on the topic of integrating urban heat sources into CHS with an emphasis on different configurations of waste heat integration systems;
2. Develop three models of urban heat source integration into low-temperature CHS, taking into account different waste heat temperature levels and CHS temperature regimes;
3. Using the Levelized cost of heat method, it is necessary to present the results of the models on a specific case study, considering different technological and economic conditions.
