Abstract

U radu je prikazan postupak numeričkog modeliranja konstitutivnog ponašanja densificiranog
sinteriranog čelika na numeričkom modelu ispitnog uzorka tj. epruvete.
U suvremenoj industriji se sve više koriste materijali dobiveni metalurgijom praha, koja
omogućuje niže troškove proizvodnje u usporedbi s klasičnom metalurgijom. Sinterirani čelici
su jedan od najčešće korištenih materijala metalurgije praha te dominiraju po proizvedenoj
masi. Sinterirani čelik se dobiva postupkom sinteriranja pri kojem se prah tlači i naknadno
toplinski obrađuje pri čemu dolazi do povezivanja čestica te povećanja čvrstoće. Sinterirane
čelike karakterizira poroznost i smanjena gustoća iz razloga što se kao polazni materijal koristi
prah. Uslijed dinamičkog opterećenja, na mjestima pora je moguća pojava koncentracije
naprezanja i polagane akumulacije oštećenja. Kako bi se poboljšala mehanička svojstva i
reducirala poroznost, sinterirani čelici se podvrgavaju postupku densifikacije, pri kojem dolazi
do eliminacije pora površinskog sloja uslijed primjene kontaktnog pritiska. Postupak
densifikacije poboljšava mehanička svojstva površinskog sloja te dovodi do promjenjivih
materijalnih svojstava sinteriranog dijela.
Promjenjiva svojstva sinteriranog čelika su opisana pomoću funkcija ovisnosti materijalnih
parametara o gustoći. Funkcije ovisnosti materijalnih parametara o gustoći su određene pomoću
poznatih eksperimentalnih podataka i programskog paketa Matlab, korištenjem metode
najmanjih kvadrata. Konstitutivno ponašanje sinteriranog čelika je opisano primjenom
programskog paketa Abaqus, koji se temelji na metodi konačnih elemenata, i korisničke rutine
UMAT, u koju su unesene funkcije ovisnosti materijalnih parametara o gustoći. Ispitane su
dvije dubine densificiranog sloja: 0,5 mm i 1 mm.
Provedena su tri tipa numeričkih analiza: s elastičnim ponašanjem materijala, s elastoplastičnim
ponašanjem materijala i analiza oštećenja primjenom metode faznog polja. Teorijska pozadina
spomenutih analiza je detaljno objašnjena kroz rad. Također je prikazan postupak određivanja
optimalne mreže konačnih elemenata. Pri numeričkim analizama materijala s elastičnim i
elastoplastičnim ponašanjem je korišten osnovni pravokutni konačni element, dok je pri analizi
oštećenja korišten korisnički konačni element koji rješava problem rubnih vrijednosti metode
faznog polja. Na kraju rada su dani rezultati provedenih numeričkih analiza i zaključak.

Abstract (english)

This thesis deals with numerical modeling of the constitutive behaviour of densified sintered
steel, performed on test specimen.
Usage of materials produced by powder metallurgy processes is increasing in modern times.
Powder metallurgy provides lower production costs compared to classical metallurgy.
Sintered steel is one of the most common materials used in powder metallurgy. Sintered steel
is manufactured by sintering process, in which the powder is pressed and subsequently heat-treated,
which results in the bonding of particles and increased material strength. It is characterized by
porosity and reduced density due to powder used as the starting material. As a result of dynamic load,
stress concentration and slow accumulation of damage appears. In order to improve mechanical
properties and reduce porosity, sintered steel is subjected to the densification process.
The densification process eliminates surface layer pores by application of contact pressure.
It also improves the mechanical properties of the surface layer and leads to variable material
properties of sintered parts.
The variable material properties of sintered steel are modeled using density dependent
functions. They are determined using known experimental data and the least square fit method
in Matlab software. The constitutive behaviour of sintered steel is described using the Abaqus
software, which is based on finite element method and the UMAT subroutine, which contains
density dependent functions. Two dephts of the densified layer were tested: 0,5 mm and 1 mm.
Three types of numerical analyses were performed: with elastic material behaviour, with
elastoplastic material behaviour and fracture analysis using the phase field method. The
theoretical background of the aforementioned simulations is explained in detail throughout the
thesis. The procedure for determining the optimal finite element mesh is also presented. In the
numerical analyses assuming elastic and elastoplastic behaviour, the basic rectangular finite
element is used, while in the damage analysis, the user finite element is used, solving the
boundary value problem of the phase field method. The results of the numerical analyses and
the conclusion are given at the end of the paper.
