Abstract

U radu je opisan eksperimentalni pristup analizi mehaničkih karakteristika aluminijske legure AlCu5BiPb-T8 kao i verifikacija mogućnosti primjene spomenutog materijala za izradu jedne od najkritičnijih dijelova invalidskih kolica – kotača, uzimajući u obzir dobivene parametre materijala, korištenjem metode konačnih elemenata. Odlike ove legure su laka dobavljivost, cijena, obradljivost, te zadovoljavajuća mehanička svojstva.
Analiza mehaničkih karakteristika obuhvaća izradu epruveta za specifičnu vrstu eksperimenta kao i provedbu monotonih i dinamičkih ispitivanja u području vlaka i tlaka.
Nakon analize eksperimentalno dobivenih rezultata mehaničkih svojstava materijala, u radu je provedena numerička analiza jednog od najkritičnijih konstrukcijskih elemenata invalidskih kolica, kotača. Pristup analizi je primjenljiv i na ostale konstrukcijske elemente uz zadržavanje kriterija prihvatljivosti integriteta konstrukcije.

Abstract (english)

This paper describes an experimental approach for the determination of mechanical properties
of aluminum alloy AlCu5BiPb-T8, as well as verification of the possible usage of this material
for production of one of the most critical structural elements of the wheelchair - the wheel,
using finite element method and taking into consideration the obtained material parameters.
Main characteristics of the mentioned alloy are availability, price, machinability, and
satisfactory mechanical properties.
The analysis of mechanical properties includes the production of test specimens for a specific
type of experiment and conducting the monotonous and dynamic tests in both tension and
compression.
After the analysis of the experimentally obtained results of the mechanical properties, a
numerical analysis of one of the most critical structural elements of wheelchairs, the wheel, was
carried out.
The approach of this analysis is also applicable to other structural elements, under the same
structural integrity acceptance criteria.
