Abstract
U teoretskom dijelu rada opisan je nastanak i rast boridnog sloja, te su navedeni i objašnjeni faktori koji utječu na debljinu, mikrostrukturu i svojstva boridnog sloja. Navedeni su primjeri primjene boriranja, te je opisano mjerenje tvrdoće metodom Vickers. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada, provedeno je boriranje u prašku čelika 42CrMo4 pri različitim temperaturama i vremenima boriranja te je određena debljina, mikrostruktura i mikrotvrdoća boridnog sloja. Postavljen je matematički model za predviđanje brzine rasta boridnog sloja u ovisnosti o temperaturi i trajanju boriranja.
