Abstract

U radu je opisano ispitivanje trenja između krutih tijela i određivanje faktora trenja pomoću Timoshenkovog oscilatora. Timoshenkov oscilator (oscilator trenja) je uređaj u kojem se uzorak položen na dva rotirajuća prstena pobuđuje na titranje pri čemu je perioda titranja ovisna o faktoru trenja između uzorka i prstena. Prstenovi se okreću približno istom kutnom brzinom, u suprotnom smjeru i periodički povlače uzorak lijevo i desno u horizontalnoj ravnini. U ispitivanju se snima titranje oznake postavljene na sredinu uzorka i potom se analizira period titranja. U radu je predložen koncept konstrukcije i upravljanja radom Timoshenkovog oscilatora s rotirajućim prstenovima od čelika EN DIN 100Cr6. Za upravljački sklop korišten je mikrokontroler Arduino UNO Rev 3 i dva ista istosmjerna elektromotora. Predloženi uređaj i upravljački sklop su izrađeni i na njima je provedeno ispitivanje faktora trenja za pet različitih materijala: polimer, aluminij, mjed, čelik i bakar.

Abstract (english)

In this paper the friction between rigid bodies and the determination of friction coefficient using Timoshenko oscillator is described. The Timoshenko oscillator (friction oscillator) is a device in which a sample placed on two rotating rings is induced to oscillate while the period of oscillation depends on the coefficient of friction between the sample and the ring. The rings are rotating at approximately the same angular velocity, in the opposite directions and they periodically pull the sample left and right in the horizontal plane. In the test, oscillation of mark placed in the middle of sample is recorded and then the period of oscillation is analyzed. In this paper, the concept of the design and the operating control of Timoshenko oscillator with rotating rings made of steel EN DIN 100Cr6 is proposed. For the control unit are used Arduino UNO Rev 3 and two DC electric motors. Proposed device and control unit are made and on them testing of coefficient of friction is performed for five different materials: polymer, aluminium, brass, steel and copper.
