Abstract

Efekt biča je jedan od glavnih izazova u upravljanju lancem opskrbe. Radi se o pojavi u kojoj male promjene u potražnji uzrokuju oscilirajuće i povećane promjene u količinama zaliha u cijelom lancu opskrbe. Varijabilnost tržišta i otežana predviđanja nameću potrebu stvaranja zaliha. Međutim, loše predviđanje potražnje dovodi do viška zaliha koje tvrtkama stvaraju još veće troškove te ostale popratne probleme. U radu je provedena simulacija efekta biča za slučaj varijabilne potražnje tržišta i povećanja potražnje na tržištu. Također je objašnjeno što sve uzrokuje efekt biča u lancu opskrbe te kako smanjiti posljedice istog.

Abstract (english)

The bullwhip effect is one of the main challenges occurring in supply chain management. It is a phenomenon in which slight changes in demand cause oscillating and amplified changes in inventory volumes throughout the supply chain. Market variability and difficulty in forecasting impose the need to create the inventory. Poor demand forecasting leads to excess inventory which creates even higher costs for companies, which in return lead to other accompanying problems. This thesis includes simulation of the bullwhip effect when market demand is variable and when there is an increase in demand. It is also explained which sources lead to the emergence of the bullwhip effect in the supply chain and how to mitigate the phenomenon and its consequences.
