Abstract

Hardware in the Loop is the concept used for testing pieces of hardware against simulated signals in order to test it before installation in the real system. Using this concept, the maximum number of signals that the device can handle is being tested as a part of regular product development’s testing phase. In the simulation that represents the real system to hardware, the custom building was created using the Resistive-Capacitive Thermal Dynamics model, coupled with a customizable HVAC system. This thesis aims to prove the applicability of custom-made hardware in the loop paired with Simulink simulation, using the existing pieces of communication chain (server and clients) to test the limits of the central controller’s software.

Abstract (english)

Hardver u petlji je koncept korišten za ispitivanje hardvera oponašajući signale s ciljem ispitivanja, prije primjene na stvarnom sustavu. Koristeći ovaj koncept, maksimalan broj signala se provjerava kao sastavni dio ispitne faze u području razvoja proizvoda. U simulaciji, koja zamjenjuje realni/fizikalni sustav hardveru, proizvoljna građevina je kreirana koristeći rezistivno kapacitivni termodinamički model, uparen s modularnim KGH sustavom. Diplomski rad pokušava dokazati primjenjivost prilagođenog “Hardware in the Loop” koncepta, spojenog na simulaciju, koristeći postojeći komunikacijski lanac (server i klijenti) za ispitivanje granica softvera nadređenog regulatora.
