Abstract
Cilj ovog rada bio je opisati teorijske osnove aerotermodinamike i navesti aerotermodinamičke probleme zrakoplovnih konstrukcija. Definirano je hiperzvučno strujanje i navedene su klase hiperzvučnih letjelica. Pojave i problemi koji se javljaju pri tako velikim toplinskim opterećenjima analizirane su za slučaj Space Shuttle-a , kao jedine operativne hiperzvučne letjelice. Napravljen je proračun radijacijske-adijabatske temperature stijenke kao dobre procjene stvarne temperature površine letjelice. Izvršena je parametarska analiza te usporedba sa podacima iz literature.
