Abstract

Ovaj izvještaj opisuje stvaranje i primjenu modela prijenosa topline koji je implementiran u softverskom paketu Simulink. Model procjenjuje performanse Carnotove baterije s „packed bed“ toplinskim spremnikom. Izvještaj obuhvaća uključivanje jednadžbi prijenosa topline, termodinamičkih jednadžbi i jednadžbi za rad neidealnih turbostrojeva. Također, obrađuje pretpostavke i ograničenja modela, kao i specifično ponašanje koje model pokazuje. U okviru modela, analizirana je promjena snage i kapaciteta Carnotove baterije prema zadanom vremenu pražnjenja i realnoj mogućnosti Carnotove baterije za opskrbljivanje električnom energijom. Također je pokazan utjecaj rezultata na različit broj slojeva diskretizacije toplinskih spremnika.

Abstract (english)

This report describes the development and application of a heat transfer model implemented in
the Simulink software package. The model evaluates the performance of a Carnot battery with
a „packed bed“ thermal storage system. The report covers the incorporation of heat transfer
equations, thermodynamic equations, and equations for the operation of non-ideal
turbomachinery. It also addresses the assumptions and limitations of the model, as well as the
specific behavior it exhibits. Within the model, the variation in power and capacity of the Carnot
battery is analyzed based on a given discharge time and the real feasibility of the Carnot battery
supplying electrical energy. Additionally, the impact of different numbers of thermal storage
discretization layers on the results is demonstrated.
