Abstract

Formula Student najistaknutije je edukacijsko inženjersko natjecanje u Europi koje se održava svake godine. Svrha natjecanja je potaknuti kritično razmišljanje te upoznavanje novih tehnologija i najboljih rješenja za određene probleme pri konstruiranju i izradi trkaćeg bolida.
Naglasak je na inženjerskim rješenjima, ali i na samim performansama bolida koje su pokazatelj uspješnosti koncepta. Performanse bolida svakako ovise o velikom broju parametara, dio tih parametara određen je striktnim pravilnikom pomoću kojega se uzimaju osnovne dimenzije i tehničke specifikacije.
U radu su navedene smjernice i ograničenja pri koncipiranju i izradi šasije i pogonskog sustava bolida Formule Student prema pravilniku natjecanja. Prikazane i analizirane su moguće koncepcije pogonskog sustava električnog trkaćeg bolida. Cilj koncipiranja je odgovarajuće razmjestiti ključne komponente pogonskog sustava u šasiji vozila, a na temelju analize konstrukcijskih rješenja, mogućnosti razmještaja komponenti ostalih sustava bolida i smještaja vozača te analiza mogućih performansi pojedine koncepcije odabir potencijalno najboljeg rješenja.
Analizirana su i rješenja konkurencijskih bolida, njihove tehničke karakteristike te ostvareni rezultati na najvećem europskom natjecanju održanom 2022. godine.
Prikazano je i koncepcijsko rješenje aktualnog bolida FSB Racing Team-a te su na temelju provedenih analiza predložena i moguća poboljšanja za bolide sljedećih generacija.

Abstract (english)

Formula Student is the most prominent educational engineering competition in Europe held every year. The purpose of the competition is to encourage critical thinking and introduce new technologies and best solutions for specific problems in the design and production of a racing car.
The emphasis is on engineering solutions, as well as the performance of the car, which serves as an indicator of the concept's success. The car's performance depends on a large number of parameters, with some of these parameters being determined by strict regulations that specify basic dimensions and technical specifications.
This work provides guidelines and limitations for the design and construction of the chassis and propulsion system of a Formula Student car according to the competition regulations. Possible concepts for the electric racing car's propulsion system are presented and analyzed. The goal of the design is to appropriately place key components of the propulsion system within the vehicle's chassis. Based on an analysis of design solutions, the possibilities for the placement of other vehicle systems' components and the driver's accommodation, as well as an analysis of potential performance, the selection of the best solution is made.
Competitive cars, their technical characteristics, and the results achieved at the largest European competition held in 2022 are also analyzed. The conceptual design of the current FSB Racing Team car is presented, and potential improvements for the cars of the next generation are proposed based on the conducted analyses.
