Abstract

Usred sve veće prijetnje klimatskih promjena javlja se potreba za smanjenjem emisije stakleničkih plinova. Jedan od značajnijih proizvođača stakleničkih plinova je sektor transporta, zbog motora s unutarnjim izgaranjem koji još uvijek pogone najveći dio vozila na prometnicama. Problemu smanjenja emisija ugljikovog dioksida iz MSUI pristupa se na razne načine. Jedan od načina je i primjena alternativnih goriva.
Kao alternativna pogonska goriva nameću se tzv. e-goriva. E-goriva su sintetska goriva pri čijem se nastanku koristi električna energija iz obnovljivih izvora. E-gorivo koje se razmatra u ovom radu je metanol.
U sklopu ovog rada analizirat će se utjecaj metanola na promjene značajki rada u Otto motoru s pretkomorom u odnosu na benzin. Motor koji će se koristi je motor za eksperimentalna mjerenja iz Laboratorija za motore i vozila Fakulteta strojarstva i brodogradnje. Simulacija se provodi u programskom paketu AVL Boost. a podešena je prema eksperimentalnim mjerenjima pri radu na benzin. Na temelju provedenih simulacija napravljeni su usporedni topografski dijagrami najbitnijih značajki rada motora. Također je simuliran i WLTP vozni ciklus uz odvojenu primjenu na oba goriva.

Abstract (english)

In the midst of ever greater threat the climate change poses, the need for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions arises. One of the greatest greenhouse gas producers is the transport sector, because of internal combustion engines which still drive most of the vehicles on the roads today. The problem of CO2 reduction in ICE is being tackled in various ways. One of them is the use of alternative fuels.
Alternative fuels which show the best qualities are e-fuels. E-fuels are synthetic fuels that are synthesised by the use of electricity from renewable energy sources. E-fuel which will be considered in this article is methanol.
As a part of this work the influence of methanol on prechamber Otto engine working parameters in comparison to gasoline fuel will be analysed. The engine that will be used is experimental engine used by the Laboratory for engines and vehicles at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. The simulation will be conducted in AVL Boost engine simulation software and it will be calibrated using real-world measurement obtained form the experimental engine while running on gasoline. WLTP driving cycle will also be simulated with separate application of both fuels.
