Abstract

U radu je prikazan razvoj uređaja za prikupljanje meteoroloških podataka uz pomoć meteorološkog balona. Razvoj uređaja za prikupljanje podataka zahtjeva odabir potrebnih senzora, mikrokontrolera te projektiranje tiskane pločice. Mikrokontroler prima podatke od svih senzora te očitane podatke obrađuje, sprema lokalno na SD karticu i šalje natrag prema Zemlji uz pomoć LoRaWAN prijemnika. Zahvaljujući široko rasprostranjenoj LoRaWAN mreži od organizacije The Things Network koja sarži preko 21600 prijeminika diljem Zemlje uređaj može odašiljati podatke neovisno o lokaciji na kojoj je pušten te će vrlo vjerojatno jedan od 21600 LoRaWAN radioprijemnika u mreži The Things Networka zaprimiti signal, tj. zaprimanje podataka se izvršava preko drugih LoRaWAN radioprijemnika te se time izbjegava izrada uređaja za zaprimanje signala radi toga je i sama cijena uređaja manja. Zbog pada tlaka dolazi do rasta volumena balona te na visinama između 20 i 30 kilometara balon puca te uređaj pada na tlo. Kako bi se uređaj mogao ponovno upotrijebiti važno je osigurati mogućnost lociranja uređaja nakon pada. Iako su Meteorološki baloni za prikupljanje podataka najjeftiniji način mjerenja meteoroloških parametara u visokim slojevima atmosfere i dalje je važno osigurati što nižu cijenu uređaja, pogotovo kada postoji mogućnost da uređaj nikada neće biti pronađen nakon pada balona.

Abstract (english)

This thesis presents the development of a device for collecting meteorological data with the help of a weather balloon. The development of the concept requires selection of the necessary sensors, microcontroller, and the design of a printed circuit board. The microcontroller receives data from all sensors normalizes the read data, saves it locally on the SD card, and sends it back to the Earth using a LoRaWAN transmitter. Thanks to the widespread LoRaWAN network from The Things Network organization which contains over 21600 receivers across the Earth, the device can be deployed any were in the world and one of the 21600 LoRaWAN receivers in The Things Network will most likely receive the data. Data reception is done via other LoRaWAN radios thus avoiding the need to designing a ground reception station, therefore, making the device price lower. Due to a pressure drop, volume of the balloon increases, and at altitudes between 20 and 30 kilometers, the balloon bursts, and the device falls to the ground. In order for the device to be reusable, it is important to ensure that the device can be located after a fall. Although weather balloons are the cheapest way to measure and collect meteorological data in the upper atmosphere layer it is still important to ensure the lowest possible cost of the device, especially when there is a possibility that the device will be never found after it falls back to Earth.
