Abstract

Keramički materijali, ili skraćeno keramika su materijali koji imaju široku primjenu zbog specifičnih svojstava. Za dobivanje keramičkih materijala kao zamjenu za prirodne sirovine može se kao dodatak koristiti otpad iz različitih proizvodnih procesa. U ovom radu analiziran je potencijal uporabe zamjenskih čvrstih otpadnih tvari u proizvodnji oksidne, neoksidne i silikatne keramike, biokeramike, keramičkih membrana, stakla i staklokeramike. Opisani su ekonomičniji proizvodni procesi koji doprinose očuvanju okoliša i uporabi otpada kao sekundarne sirovine. Istraživana je mogućnost korištenja dodatka ljuski zrna suncokreta, pepela rižinih ljuski, otpadnog taloga kave, ljuski jajeta, bagasa šećerne trske, lebdećeg pepela i drugog industrijskog otpada pri proizvodnji keramike, stakla i staklokeramike.

Abstract (english)

Ceramic materials, or shortly ceramics are materials that have a wide range of application due to their specific properties. To obtain ceramic materials, wastes from different manufacturing processes can be used as an additive to replace natural raw materials. The potential of using substitute solid wastes in manufacturing oxide, non-oxide and silicate ceramics, bioceramics, ceramic membranes, glass and glass-ceramics was analysed. More economical manufacturing processes which contribute to environmental conservation and utilisation of waste as a secondary raw material was described. The possibility of using sunflower seed shells, rice husk ash, spent coffee grounds, egg shells, bagasse sugar cane, fly ash and other industrial wastes in fabricating ceramics, glass and glass-ceramics were examined.
