Abstract

Zglob kuka koji se još naziva i acetabulofemuralnim zglobom jedan je od najvećih zglobova u ljudskom tijelu. Zahvaljujući njemu, ljudima je omogućeno hodanje. Ipak, zbog utjecaja raznih opterećenja, traumi i ortopedskih bolesti, potrebno je kirurški ugraditi umjetnu endoprotezu u tijelo pacijenta.
Razvoj simulatora zgloba kuka daje važne informacije o procesima trošenja visokomolekularnoga polietilena (UHMWPE) koji se najčešće danas koristi kao acetabularna komponenta.
U ovom je radu opisane su vrste endoproteza, materijali koji se koriste pri njihovoj izradi i mehanizmi trošenja koji se pojavljuju nakon ugradnje implantata u tijelo pacijenta. Dan je pregled najzastupljenijih simulatora zgloba kuka u literaturi i idejni koncept tribouređaja koji radi po principu zgloba kuka.

Abstract (english)

Hip joint, known as the acetabulofemural joint is one of the largest joints in the human body. It is the one enabling humans to walk. Various loads, traumas and orthopaedic diseases are causing an artificial endoprosthesis to be surgicaly implanted in the body of a patient.
With the development of a hip joint simulator, important information about UHMWPE polimeric liner wear is collected.
Types of endoprostheses, materials used for making them, as well as the most dominant wear mechanisms are described in this paper. Various types of simulators are also presented along with a theoretical concept of a new tribological device for simulating hip endoprosthesis motion.
