Abstract

Zamjena zgloba kuka sastoji se od zamjene zgloba implantatom koji je sposoban proizvesti istu funkcionalnost. Kako bi implementacija bila uspješna važno je ujediniti biokompatibilnost i slabo trošenje materijala. Osobitu pozornost pridodana je tribološkom ponašanju biomaterijala. Analizirane su ISO norme koje ispituju trošenja materijala. Najvažnija je BS ISO 14242 koja se sastoji od četiri dijela i opisuje trošenje proteze zgloba kuka. Nakon više od 50 godina evolucije, što se tiče konstrukcije i materijala, postotak trošenja većine implantata je vrlo nizak, što smanjuje rizik vezan uz otpuštanje čestica trošenja u tijelu.

Abstract (english)

Replacement surgery of hip joint consists of the substitution of the joint with an implant able to recreate the articulation functionality. To have a successful implementation it is important to unit biocompatible and low wear rate materials. Particular attention has been given to the tribological behavior of the biomaterials. ISO norms which deal with material wear were analyzed. The most important one is ISO 14242 which is composed of four parts and describes the wear of total hip-joint prostheses. After more than 50 years of evolution, in term of designs and materials, the actual wear rate of the most common implants is low, allowing us to sensibly reduce the risk related to the widespread debris distribution in the human body.
