Abstract
Ovim radom je prikazan postupak ultrazvučne obrade. Opisane su osnove ultrazvuka, navedene vrste valova i principi njihovih širenja. Nadalje su prikazane osnovne komponente ultrazvučnog obradnog sustava, principi njihovog rada kao i mehanizam odvajanja čestica kod ultrazvučne obrade. Posebna pažnja je posvećena sonotrodama, prikazane su sve vrste sonotroda koje se koriste kod ultrazvučne obrade. Od sonotroda je izdvojen katenoidalni oblik, koji pokazuje najbolja svojstva za obradu.
