Abstract

Tema ovog diplomskog rada je numerička analiza zaostalih naprezanja i deformacija uslijed procesa zavarivanja. Za modeliranje unosa topline prilikom zavarivanja i procjenu zaostalih naprezanja i deformacija uspješno se primjenjuje metoda konačnih elemenata čime se numeričkom simulacijom nastoji zamijeniti, odnosno nadopuniti skupi eksperiment. Zaostala naprezanja, spregnuta još sa naprezanjima nastalim tokom eksploatacije konstrukcije, imaju značajan utjecaj na cjelovitost i procjenu radnog vijeka zavarene konstrukcije. Procjena zaostalih naprezanja i deformacija numeričkim modeliranjem procesa zavarivanja računalno je vrlo skup postupak, stoga se u numerički model uvode odgovarajuća pojednostavljenja u svrhu povećanja učinkovitosti uz zadržavanje točnosti simulacije.

Ukratko su iznesene teorijske osnove modeliranja procesa zavarivanja u pogledu izmjene topline i elastoplastičnog ponašanja materijala. Također, objašnjeno je nastajanje zaostalih naprezanja i deformacija u zavarenim konstrukcijama te je izvršena njihova podjela. Prikazane su vrste toplinsko – mehaničkih analiza te jednadžbe konačnih elemenata za nelinearnu toplinsku i mehaničku analizu. Pokazane su osnove rješavanja nelinearnih problema inkrementalno-iterativnim metodama te je dan pregled korištenih konačnih elemenata u simulacijama zavarivanja.

Provedeno je modeliranje procesa zavarivanja dviju sučeono zavarenih ploča primjenom klasične metode, metode rađanja elemenata te pomoću Abaqus sučelja za zavarivanje – Abaqus Welding Interface (AWI) [12]. Klasičnom metodom pristupilo se modelima diskretiziranim trodimenzijskim elementima, ljuskastim elementima te kombinacijom trodimenzijskih i ljuskastih elemenata. Pomoću AWI-a i metode rađanja simulirani su modeli diskretizirani trodimenzijskim elementima i kombinacijom trodimenzijskih i ljuskastih elemenata. Pri modeliranju kombinacijom trodimenzijskim i ljuskastim elementima ispitana su dva 3D/ljuskasta modela različitih širina 3D zona u svrhu određivanja kriterija prijelaza s 3D na ljuskastu zonu.

Sa zaključcima dobivenima pri analizi zavarivanja dviju sučeono zavarenih ploča pristupilo se modeliranju procesa zavarivanja poklopca rebra linera pri montaži na konstrukciju ispušnog kućišta plinske turbine tvrtke Alstom te je izvršena analiza zaostalih naprezanja i deformacija.

Abstract (english)

The subject of this thesis is numerical analysis of residual stresses and deformation due to welding. For heat flux modelling due to welding and residual stress and distorsion assesment, the finite element method has been succesfully used by which it is intended to avoid expensive experiments and replace or supplement it with a numerical simulation. Residual stresses, coupled with stresses during exploitation of structure, have significant effect on structural health and lifetime of welded structure. Assesment of residual stresses and deformation using numerical modelling of welding process is computationally very expensive so we implement appropriate simplifications in numerical model to increase efficiency while maintaining the accuracy of the simulation.

Briefly are presented the theoretical foundations of modelling welding process in terms of heat and elastoplastic material behavior. Also, the formation of residual stresses and strains in welded structures was explained and their division was made. The types of heat – transfer analysis were shown and equations of finite elements for nonlinear mechanical analysis and heat transfer analysis were carried out.

The welding process of two butt welded plates was modelled using standard method, element birth and death method and Abaqus Welding Interface (AWI) [12]. With the aim to increase the efficiency and accuracy of numerical simulation of the welding process of mechanical structures we used three numerical models: three-dimensional model, combined three-dimensional - shell finite element model and shell model. When modelling a combination of three-dimensional - shell finite element model we varied width of the 3D zone to determine the criteria for the transition from 3D to shell zone.

The conclusions obtained in the analysis of welding two butt welded plates were used for the modelling of welding process of cover rib on liner during assembly of the gas turbine exhaust housing from the company Alstom.
