Abstract

Ovaj rad istrazuje metode magnetskog ispitivanja koje se primjenjuju za detekciju povrsinskih i podpovrsinskih nepravilnosti u feromagnetskim materijalima. Cilj rada je analizirati temeljne principe magnetskog ispitivanja, utvrditi prednosti i ogranicenja ove metode, te provesti eksperimentalno ispitivanje kako bi se procijenila njena pouzdanost i mogucnosti primjene u industriji. Analizirane su prednosti ove metode, poput brzine i jednostavnosti primjene, ali i njena ogranicenja, koja ukljucuju nemogucnost detekcije dubinskih nepravilnosti i potrebu za naknadnim demagnetiziranjem ispitivanih uzoraka. Eksperimentalni dio rada obuhvaca mjerenje tangencijalne komponente jakosti magnetskog polja koristenjem razlicitih elektromagnetskih jarmova. Prikazana je koristenja oprema te metoda prikupljanja i analize podataka. Rezultati ispitivanja pokazali su da debljina uzorka, nacin magnetizacije te izbor elektromagnetskog jarma znacajno utjecu na raspodjelu i jakost magnetskog polja, pri cemu su deblji uzorci bolje koncentrirali magnetski tok, dok su tanji uzorci omogucili vecu disperziju polja izvan materijala. Zakljucci istrazivanja potvrdjuju primjenjivost magnetskog ispitivanja u industriji, isticuci potrebu za optimizacijom opreme i postupaka kako bi se poboljsala preciznost i ponovljivost rezultata.

Abstract (english)

This paper investigates magnetic testing methods used for detecting surface and subsurface
irregularities in ferromagnetic materials. The aim of the study is to analyze the fundamental
principles of magnetic testing, determine the advantages and limitations of this method, and
conduct experimental testing to assess its reliability and potential applications in the industry.
The advantages of this method, such as speed and ease of application, are analyzed, along
with its limitations, which include the inability to detect deep irregularities and the need for
subsequent demagnetization of the tested samples.
The experimental part of the study involves measuring the tangential component of the
magnetic field strength using various electromagnetic yokes. The equipment used, as well as
the data collection and analysis methods, are presented. The test results showed that the
sample thickness, magnetization method, and selection of the electromagnetic yoke
significantly affect the distribution and strength of the magnetic field, with thicker samples
better concentrating the magnetic flux, while thinner samples allowed for greater field
dispersion outside the material.
The research conclusions confirm the applicability of magnetic testing in the industry,
highlighting the need for optimizing equipment and procedures to improve precision and
result reproducibility.
