| Abstract | U ovom radu obrađeni su centralizirani toplinski sustavi, pri čemu su objašnjeni njihova uloga u energetskom sektoru, struktura i glavna podjela prema temperaturnim režimima. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na sve generacije centraliziranih toplinskih sustava te različite konfiguracije toplinskih podstanica, kao jednog od integralnog dijela ovih sustava, s ciljem da se prikaže njihova evolucija i suvremeni trendovi u sektoru toplinarstva.
Analizirane su direktive Europske Komisije i regulative vezane uz obnovljive izvore energije u kontekstu centraliziranih toplinskih sustava, s ciljem identificiranja ključnih smjernica za dekarbonizaciju i budući razvoj CTS-a. Na temelju tih podataka, istražene su mogućnosti modernizacije toplinskih podstanica s posebnim fokusom na konfiguracije koje uključuju različite temperaturne režime kao što su LTDH (eng. Low-Temperature District Heating), ULTDH (eng. Ultra-Low-Temperature District Heating) i NTDH (eng. Neutral-Temperature District Heating). Pored toga, provedena je usporedba navedenih konfiguracija s tehničkog i ekonomskog aspekta.
U okviru ekonomske analize korištena je metoda LCOH (eng. Levelized Cost of Heat), pri čemu su navedene relevantne formule i parametri za izračun troška isporučene toplinske energije. Analizirana su dva različita scenarija modernizacije s obzirom na promjene u zahtjevima za toplinskom energijom. Također, svaki scenarij sadrži dva slučaja s obzirom na pripremu potrošne tople vode u sklopu CTS-a. Na kraju rada, prikazani su dobiveni rezultati za analizirane scenarije modernizacije toplinskih podstanica, uzimajući u obzir tehničke, ekonomske i regulatorne aspekte. |
| Abstract (english) | This paper examines centralized heating systems, explaining their role in the energy sector, their structure, and their main classification based on temperature regimes. Special emphasis is placed on all generations of district heating systems and different configurations of heating substations, as one of integral parts of these systems, with the aim of showing their evolution and modern trends in the heating sector.
The study analyses European Commission directives and regulations related to renewable energy sources in the context of district heating systems, aiming to identify key guidelines for decarbonization and the future development of district heating systems. Based on this data, the possibilities for the modernization of heating substations are explored, with a particular focus on configurations that include various temperature regimes, such as LTDH (Low-Temperature District Heating), ULTDH (Ultra-Low-Temperature District Heating), and NTDH (Neutral-Temperature District Heating). Additionally, a comparison of these configurations is conducted from both technical and economic perspectives.
In the economic analysis, the Levelized Cost of Heat (LCOH) method is used, presenting relevant formulas and parameters for calculating the cost of delivered thermal energy. Two different modernization scenarios are analysed concerning changes in heat energy demand. Furthermore, each scenario includes two cases regarding the preparation of domestic hot water within the district heating system. Finally, the results for the analysed modernization scenarios of heating substations are presented, considering technical, economic, and regulatory aspects. |
