Abstract

Završni rad bavi se detaljnim opisom i analizom ispušnih sustava, njihovom ulogom, značajem, komponentama i materijalima. Ispušni sustavi ključni su dijelovi motora s unutarnjim izgaranjem jer omogućuju odvođenje ispušnih plinova, smanjuju emisije štetnih tvari i buku, te poboljšavaju performanse vozila. U radu je opisana povijest razvoja ispušnih sustava opis njihovih glavnih komponenti te njihov doprinos smanjenju zagađenja i optimizaciji rada motora.
Posebna pažnja posvećena je zakonima i normama koji reguliraju emisije, zvučne karakteristike te sigurnost i učinkovitost ispušnih sustava. U radu su navedeni najčešći uzroci oštećenja elemenata ispušnog sustava te su navedene metode prevencije i zaštite od ovih oštećenja. U eksperimentalnom dijelu rada provedena je karakterizacija uzorka ispušnog lonca.

Abstract (english)

The thesis focuses on a detailed description and analysis of exhaust systems, including their role, significance, components, and materials. Exhaust systems are critical components of internal combustion engines as they facilitate the removal of exhaust gases, reduce harmful emissions and noise, and improve vehicle performance. The paper outlines the history of exhaust system development, describes their main components, and discusses their contribution to reducing pollution and optimizing engine performance.
Special attention is given to the regulations and standards governing emissions, sound characteristics, safety, and efficiency of exhaust systems. The thesis also investigates the causes of damage to exhaust system components and presents methods for preventing and protecting against such damage. In the experimental section of the thesis, a material characterization of an exhaust muffler sample was conducted.
