Abstract

Regulatorni okvir postavljen od Međunarodne pomorske organizacije s ciljem smanjenja ukupnih emisija stakleničkih plinova potiče istraživanja alternativnih rješenja za energetske sustave brodova. Posebna pažnja se posvećuje brodovima koji plove u priobalnoj plovidbi zbog njihove blizine naseljenim područjima, što može rezultirati većim utjecajem na ljudsko zdravlje u usporedbi s prekooceanskim brodovima. U ovom diplomskom radu analizirane su alternativne konfiguracije energetskih sustava putničkog broda koji plovi u hrvatskom priobalnom području na relaciji Ploče – Trpanj, temeljem ekonomskih i ekoloških kriterija. Izračun cjeloživotnog ugljičnog otiska proveden je analitički, a za ekonomsku analizu korišten je programski paket Homer Pro. Uz usporedbu rezultata dobivenih za različite konfiguracije dane su smjernice za dekarbonzaciju analiziranog broda kao i sličnih brodova koji plove u istom plovnom području.

Abstract (english)

The regulatory framework set by the International Maritime Organization with the goal of reducing total greenhouse gas emissions encourages research into alternative solutions for ship energy systems. Special attention is paid to short-sea shipping near populated areas, which can have a greater impact on human health compared to long-distance shipping. In this thesis, alternative configurations of the energy systems of a passenger ship operating in the Croatian coastal area on route Ploče - Trpanj were analyzed based on economic and ecological criteria. The lifetime carbon footprint was calculated analytically, and the Homer Pro software package was used for the economic analysis. Along with the comparison of the results obtained for different configurations, recommendations for the decarbonization of the analyzed ship were given as well as for similar ships operating in short-sea.
